Mikayla laughed. "I was going to say! You're a cat, so it's okay; you're not supposed to like water." She shook her head, aware of how weird it was to be talking to cat who was actually a human. She found herself wondering if it would be weirder to see the cat she was talking to and see him speak human words and not with meows. Or was it weirder that she couldn't see him and was just accepting that a cat was sitting on her lap and speaking to her? The entire concept was pretty strange.
"I guess I'll take your word for it!" she said when he told her it was the best feeling in the world for an animal. "So what do you look like as a human, then?" she wondered.

He laughed
"well i can tell you first hand it's true"
He smiled when Mikayla mentioned what he looked like
"i'm not sure if i remember anymore"
He laughed
'i wonder if there is a way for you to see me? wait maybe!'
Adam jumped of Mikaylas lap and changed back into a human.
He turned around and knelt in front of Mikayla
"i can show you, i mean if it's ok with you"

"What do you mean you can't remember anymore?" she asked with a light laugh. "I doubt you've been a cat for that long. Don't you ever look in a mirror? It's not like you're blind," she joked. She blinked in surprise when he jumped from her lap, not having expected it, and waited to find out what he was doing. Perhaps he was just being a cat and was bored of being stroked. She knew her barn cats back home were like that. They would be all over you, wanting their bellies rubbed, and seconds later they decided it was time to run around or to climb into the hay stack and sleep. They were funny animals, that was for sure.
"What do you mean, you can show me?" she asked, frowning suspiciously. Was there more to his powers or something? Her eyes narrowed as she waited for his explanation.

He laughed
"i was over exaggerating, but I do spend a lot of the time as a cat"
Adam lent forward took Mikayla's hands and placed them on his face,
"does this help? okay so it's not seeing. It's kind of encouragement for your imagination"
He smiled even though he knew Mikayla couldn't see it
"I wont bite you can move your hands a bit feel what i look like"
Adam then thought what other people must be thinking when they saw Mikayla with her hands on his face, he grinned again

"Okay," Mikayla laughed, glad he knew what he looked like. "Well I'm glad for that."
When he took her hands to place them on his face, the blinked in surprise. "Oh! I wasn't expecting human hands," she admitted with a shy smile. It felt strange to have her hands on someone's face. At least, someone she barely knew.
"Well as long as you don't think it's weird that I'm touching you," she said. She then used her hands to feel around his face, the lines and the bumps and the curves, avoiding his eyes because she wouldn't forgive herself if she poked his eye out or something. When she reached the corners of his mouth and felt that he was grinning, she grinned as well and withdrew her hands. "What's so funny?" she asked, her voice laced with a touch of suspicion.
