Jade parted her lips, kissing him back fully. Never had she imagined to be kissing Talon, especially in her coach's office, but here she was. When he came up for air, she took the moment to breath as well, her nose touching his and a dopey grin on her face. Not many people saw that kind of a smile on her, but maybe it was because she didn't wear it much. Suddenly he was laughing and she was laughing too.
Her eyes opened, meeting Talon's and she wondered why they were both laughing for a moment. Nothing was funny, it was more of a release of emotion. When he moved back in and tangled a hand in her hair, her hands trailed down his neck as she breathed him in.
Way better than some dumb snow ball. She could think that a thousand times over as he leaned over her. He was kissing her with more vigor and she could only surrender.

This could go oh so far, but Talon did not want to put any pressure on Jade, nor did he believe himself to be ready for anything more than just a heavy make-out session. He continued kissing the beautiful girl beneath him with increased passion until he once again needed a break for air. He pulled his lips back from her and then kissed the side of her mouth before lifting himself up. With his arms locked, he hovered steadily over her, grinning down at Jade as his heart beat fought to steady.
He wanted to kiss her again, but for now he just wanted to look at her. It was almost as if he was seeing her for the first time, her smiling at him, her eyes still glowing from when she had laughed. She was beautiful and striking, which was only a bonus to the fact that she was an amazing person who had a great taste in music and had saved his life. He literally would not be around if it weren't for her. Talon felt like he owed her so much, and so he silently vowed to give her everything he could. "This is the best ball ever, I think," he said, his lips tugging into a wider grin. There was no way possible that anyone at the ball was having a better time than he was here, at their anti-ball with Jade.

Jade's eyes fluttered open as she felt his lips leave hers and then kiss the side of her mouth. He was hovering above her now, his arms on either side of her and she swore that she could hear his heartbeat. But maybe she was just exaggerating. Still, it was nice to know that she'd saved his life, that his heart was in fact still beating because of her and that maybe he wanted to be alive.
She grinned up at him as the music played in the background, the Cab album finally starting over at the beginning. She made a mental note to change the CD, but did not want to get up from underneath Talon. It was silent between them for a moment, the kind of silence you could get used to, not the awkward kind when you were waiting for somebody to say something. This was a silence she liked.
She nodded in agreement, biting her lip as she looked up at him. "Agreed," she said.

Talon barely noticed when the cd started again from the beginning. For once, the music was just a background now, when usually it was all he paid attention to. "I'm probably going to associate this album with you now, I hope you know that," he told her with a grin. He knew she wouldn't mind; the album was a great one.
"Speaking of, do you have a favourite album? A favourite band?" he asked. He wanted to know more about her. He wanted to kiss her, but he wanted to know her and he wanted to look at her and memorize the exact shape of her lips and the sculpt of her brows and the line of her cheekbones that became more prominent when she smiled.

"It would be an honor to be associated with the Cab," Jade told him, still looking up at him from where she lay. She started to sit up, moving Talon into a sitting position as well. She wanted to kiss him again, to lose herself in the music and his lips, but she also wanted to know Talon, to keep showing him that she cared about him.
She was grinning and he was grinning and she loved the question that he'd asked her. She tried to pick a favorite album from the list compiled in her head. It made her think of her dorm room and the CD rack that was overflowing. "Enema of the State. Blink 182's 1999 album. I know it's old, but...ugh, that album." She could never tire of it, just like a lot of albums and artists.
She couldn't help but take him in. The way his lips curled into a smile when he actually allowed himself to smile, the way she could tell he was defined like a swimmer even under a hoodie and the way he seemed at ease with her.

"Well I'm glad you think so," he said with a broad smile. As she sat up, he moved with her and then moved so he sat beside her, his back against the desk again. He positioned himself slightly so he faced her, though, so he did not have to turn his head so much to look at her. He already missed the mixture of tobacco and sweetness that was her lips, but this was good too.
Talon nodded when she shared with him her favourite album. "That is a good album," he agreed. "Blink 182 is great. I think mine's Anywhere But Here. Mayday Parade's second studio album. And I only say I think because my favourite changes depending on how I feel. But that's been my favourite for the past few days. I don't think I've listened to much else recently," he admitted. It wasn't the most depressing album he owned, but he also wasn't as depressed as of late. He met her gaze, his smile lingering. He liked the way she looked at him. It made him feel vulnerable yet warm, if that was even possible. She seemed to really see him, and it was a nice change from the way everyone else looked at him.

Jade had to admit that she was slightly disappointed by how they were back to sitting next to each other, rather than tangled up with one another and falling over each other, but she also had to keep her head above water and actually learn more about Talon. However, she'd been temporarily breathless from having Talon's lips on hers. It'd been a while since she'd been kissed, especially like that.
She smiled with closed lips as he agreed on the album and then mentioned his. She knew the band from the album title before he even said it. "Ah, Mayday Parade. That's one of their best, in my opinion and you make a good point, sometimes I'm having The Cab kind of day and other days I'm feeling Paramore or Shiny Toy Guns." It really did depend on how you were feeling. However, she did have countless favorite albums. They just switched places.
He met her eyes and she continued to grin at him. "I like the way you think," she said, just before pulling herself to her feet and padding over to the other side of the desk where the pile of CDs was. She picked up the Mayday Parade album Talon had just mentioned and stopped the Cab album mid-song, to put in the new CD and waited for the first track to start, then making her way back over to where Talon sat. She looked down at him with a smile. "Figured it was time for a change."
