"Faaang, why do you have to sleep on my bed?" Silver asked Aela's dog with an irritated tone. "Sleep with Aela, she loves you more than I do ..."
Fang growled and Aela sighed. "Fang, you heard her." she hissed as Fang whimpered and jumped off Silver's bed. 'I'll get you,' he growled as he laid next to Aela, earning a good whack from her hand. "Mind your muzzle."
Silver smirked some and took off her t-shirt to change into her pj's. "Was he bad mouthing me again?" she asked Aela with a raised eyebrow.
"He's just tired is all." She replied to her as she petted her wolfdog. "He's had a long day, that's why he's extra moody."
"Riiight," Silver rolled her eyes and smirked some.

Jade knew it was sort of late when she got back to her dorm room, but it had been quite a day. She still felt uneasy about what happened, what nearly happened anyway. In a mere second, her life could have been taken away from her all because of a drive-by. And it would have been in any other circumstance. If she would have left Tim Horton's without Darik by her side, or if she hadn't seen him there at all, but he'd used his power in public to save her life. And second of all, he didn't judge her talking to spirits. He actually seemed to think it was quite normal.
She opened the door to her room and entered to see Aela and Silver having an argument about Aela's dog. It was nice to see them both again. Especially after the events that had been happening recently. Between everything with Talon and now almost dying herself, she was wondering if she was cursed, although maybe she was with a power like hers.
"Hey guys," she said, stripping off her dress and ripped black tights to change into her comfy pajamas. She was glad she had a cigarette on the way home. That had helped to calm her down for the most part. She should tell them about Darik. They did know him after all.

Silver heard Jade's familiar voice and smirked wide, forgetting about the argument completely. "Hey girl! How was your day?" she asked as she crossed her legs. Her yellow eyes looked back into hers, as she always did with people.
Aela looked over to where she heard Jade's voice. "Hi, Jade," she greeted with a small wave as Fang jumped down and sat in front of Jade, wanting to be petted. He tilted his head and perked his pointy ears up so that he looked cute.
"Na ah! Don't fall for that amico! That's an invitation to a dog hogging your bed ..." Silver glared at Fang with her yellow eyes. She didn't hate the dog, but she didn't like him either. They were frenemies, or that's how she put it anyway.

"Hey," Jade greeted Silver, bending down to pet Fang who was by her feet. "My day was...interesting." How else was she to phrase it? "More like my week has been interesting." She smiled at the wolfdog nonetheless though. She'd had one pet before, a cat, but it died in the fire, along with Lanie. She sometimes wondered if the spirit of her cat ever tried to get through to her but then thought the idea was ridiculous. It was nice to be around a pet again and no matter what Silver said, he was adorable. She laughed at her outburst. "I don't get what your problem is with him. He just wants to cuddle." She smiled, petting Fang behind the ears, before looking up at Aela with a smile. "You guys didn't kill each other while I was gone. I'm impressed."

"We don't hate each other," Aela reminded her with a smile. "We just don't agree on the same things, that's all." With another laugh she placed her fingers back on the board she was reading. It was braille, a type of writing for people who were blind.
Silver nodded and laid down on her bed. "So," she began, "what kind of interesting thing happened? Did a male spirit try to hug you and epicly failed?" A smirk formed on Silver's mouth. She tried to make Jade smile, for she always somehow needed it. Though Silver didn't mind, more jokes coming out of her.
Fang panted and wagged his tail before jumping up on Aela's bed again and laid down next to her, making sure not to mess up her finger reading.

Jade only mustered a smile at them both, their strange antics always seemed to cheer her up even on the worst of days. She got to her feet when Fang went back to Aela and sat down on her bed, looking over at Silver, who had asked her a question. "Funny, but no," she told her, shaking her head at her roommate's guess. "Although that is possible and dare I say it has happened to me before." A small smile found its way onto her lips again, before she became more serious. "It's just...spirits are really trying to reach me lately. You guys heard what happened with Talon... I saved his life when he didn't want to be saved because the spirit of his sister found me. And I was out getting coffee today...and I met this guy. He says he knows you both. Darik Mendez?" She looked over at the both of her roommates, not getting into the story of what exactly had happened yet.

"Well yeah!" Silver exclaimed with a wide smirk. "He's like the best buddy you'll ever have! What did you guys do?" She leaned in, wanting to hear the details as always. "Do you like him? I bet if I asked him the same question he'd say yes."
Aela rolled her eyes and smiled a little. "Darik probably will, you're a very likable person." she said with a nod as Fang stretched out onto her lap. "Oh! Fang! I was reading!"
'Sorry ... just needed to stretch.' Fang said to her with a wolfish grin.
Silver shook her head and looked back at Jade. "Well? How was it?" She tilted her head, making her red hair fall to the side some.

Of course Silver was already rambling and Jade chuckled a little bit at her roommate as she leaned forward, eagerly fishing for information. "Calm down, Silv!" she told her. "I just met him." Although Aela seemed to think similarly. "We met because he could hear spirits. How cool is that?" She smiled slightly, but it faltered when she thought of what had nearly happened. "We just talked over coffee. That's all...and then, well...there was this crazy drive-by outside of Tim Horton's."
She hadn't planned on spilling that so quickly, but she wasn't really sure how to go about talking about such an event. "He used his power...to change the direction of the bullet. He saved my life..." She still wasn't sure what to make of it. She'd wanted to die for so long and now she was grateful that she was alive.

Both Aela and Silver looked at each other for the longest moment, then they both looked back at her and smiled wide. Fang tilted his head and looked around, seeing the little girl he kept on seeing ever since the new chick moved in. He jumped off of Aela's lap and trotted to where he saw the girl.
Silver looked at Fang, then she smirked some and looked at Jade. "He's a life saver. Saved me from a drunk driver. Man, Cranbrook is rather dangerous when you think about it ..."
"As for hearing your sister," Aela continued as she shut her braille board. "Most people can hear them if they believe hard enough. Silver believes, so she can hear them. I, however, already possess the power to see them, but since I am incapable of seeing, I can only hear and sense spirits around us."
Silver took out her ouija board and smirked wide. "This is how anyone can speak with spirits, unless of course you're a douche and decides to buy the board for pranks and to forever scare your friends into believing there's a demon in their home." She rolled her eyes at that and passed it to Jade. "I use that all the time, Aela too. Even though she can't see, you still shouldn't play that thing alone. Blind or not."
Aela shuttered the last time Silver played with that board on her own. "It wasn't in this room ... thank god ..." she whispered softly to herself.
"Nah, my aunt doesn't live to far from here. She has the power of magic, so she knew how to get rid of the thing." Silver told Jade with a sheepish smile. "That lesson was learned the hard way, as always."

Jade nodded in agreement. "Of course Cranbrook is dangerous. There are a bunch of teenagers with powers running around," she said and then turned to Aela. "I know, but a lot of people don't want to acknowledge spirits. They'd rather tell themselves that spirits do not linger among the living, that they all have gone to heaven and are at peace, but...but it's not true. Death isn't the end. It's just...another state of being." Jade shrugged. So, she wasn't exactly afraid of death, but she'd rather live longer than her teenage years.
She grinned lopsidedly at Silver as she handed over the Ouija board. "Eh, I dunno if I'm one for these things," she said, turning it in her hands. "People usually just use these as a joke. Besides, I don't need it to communicate with spirits."

Aela smiled as Fang began to growl at the little spirit. "Fang, why are you growling at her? She didn't do anything to you."
'No,' Fang growled, 'but it's creepy that's she's here all the time' He tilted his head and tried to sniff the spirit, but failed at doing so.
Silver snickered and shook her head. "You can't sniff her there smart one," she teased the canine, "and she's a spirit. She can go anywhere she wants. It's like being free of a school, only you stay young for a very ... very long time." She then looked at Jade and gave her a nod. "I like spirits and all, but I'd rather wait until I'm over 80 or something." Silver gave her a shrug, then looked to Aela who was looking to where she can sense Lanie.
"There seems to be more than just one spirit in here, though," Aela finally said after looking around a little more. She could sense at least 3 spirits in the room, counting Lanie. "I wonder who they used to be ..."
"I would use my ouija board to find out, but we have a living one right here." Silver joked smirking wide.

Jade was glad that the subject of Darik had dropped. He was cute, had saved her life and was nice enough, but with all the baggage she had, there was no way a boyfriend would fit into the mix. She was too concerned with her sister and the spirit world and now Talon and his younger sister who she now saw.
Jade could sense there were other spirits among them, she always could, but rather or not she could communicate with them, depended on the spirit's preference. "There's more than just Lanie here, but you guys know the rules, the spirits have to want to talk to me."

Silver smirked and held up the board. "That's why there's a back up plaaan," she cooed lightly as Fang growled around the room in certain directions.
Aela shook her head and whistled lightly. "Fang, come," she ordered through a serious tone. Fang obeyed and sat next to Aela on her bed again. She then looked towards Silver and shook her head. "Those things can attract more than what's in the room."
"I know," Silver replied with her signature smirk, "that's why I can white candles, a dog, and three people to play."
"I can sense them just fine, thank you." Aela gave her a quick grin before wigging out of her day clothes.
Silver rolled her eyes and looked at Jade with pleading eyes. "Pllleeeaase play with me. It won't do anything bad, I pwomise." She batted her eyelashes and gave her them cute puppy dog eyes that she used to get her way.
'Typical ...' Fang scoffed before curling up against Aela's back as she changed into her pajamas.
