Just as she had expected, it was Saturday and Skye was pretty exhausted after practice. Coach always grilled them until they couldn't go any longer, and were forced to break. Sometimes she called it 'discipline' other days she called it 'preparation', but it was all the same to Skylar. A hard kick in the ass.
Skye knew that she had a date with Kazu at seven, and she had gotten out at eight, so she found herself taking a rest for a good eight hours. She woke up at four. Not even her room mates dared wake her, and she was grateful that they knew better. Skye needed as much energy as she could get, expecting something up beat and exciting.
For the last two and a half hours before she headed outside to wait for Kazu, Skye searched for the perfect outfit. And when she found it, she felt like she hit the jackpot. She wasn't dressing to be sexy, but she did want to put some emphasis on her legs since she barely had a chest to show. She wore lightly white-washed blue skinnies with a form fitting red turtle neck and a red plaid jacket to to cover it. Her shoes were knee high, black, with a small heel to add a bit of height to her. Though no matter how hard she could try, she'd never be anywhere near a decent height for Kazu. He was just too... tall.
Skye took one last look in the mirror before leaving, to confirm she was satisfied with her look. She was. She exited her dorm room and made her way out to the front of the school where Kazu had told her to wait. The moment she got out of the school doors, she pulled her jacket closer around her body. No matter how long she lived up north, she never got used to the cold winters. They sucked. She just hoped Kazu wouldn't make her wait long.

Since he had met her on Wednesday, he had plenty of time until Saturday to plan the itinerary, do the research, and plan every detail. By Friday night he had perfected everything, even wrote himself a short to-do list on an index card, complete with a fire glyph, should he ever need to burn it immediately. He rested well, completely confident, his dreams sweet and lusty.
Today's gameday, Fuck-o, Kazu said in his head, fixing his clothes in the mirror. Well, they weren't much of clothes, for what he had in mind. Don't fuck up. Don't say something stupid. Don't take it too far. Just do it right once and the rest will be victory. One of his thin shirts with a low neck to show off his bold tattoos, around his collar, his arms, his back, stomach, ribs... He was basically a sketch pad with skin, and he liked it that way. If she was checking him out she'd have to ask a question about something. He smirked and threw on a black leather jacket with an exaggerated and studded biker collar and belt. His pants were black, oil paint stained denims, tattered at the heel but mostly without rips. Over that went chaps, to keep him warm while they were traveling.
Which brought him to his next thought: the bike. On his desk was a basic sketch of what he wanted to accomplish, added details for aerodynamics, aesthetic, and for the engine, some strange alchemical device of pumps and pistons, shaped strangely like a human heart. He had to face it, he was inspired by Batman's motorcycle and found that the wide tires would do super well on icy roads. He laced up his boots and finished bundling up, scarf, gloves, and heavy down coat. He grabbed mittens and scarf for her, knowing she probably wasn't expecting to be picked up in a motorcycle.
With two hermetic jars of chemicals in a backpack and his coat over his arm, he left his dorm around six and headed to Cranbrook, keeping a brisk walk to make good time. He made it to the residential area, noticing how most people were either out for a night shift or in for dinner and relaxation. He did his best to remain unseen, taking alleys for garbage and hopping walls. Soon he found himself in a very quiet part of the road, a vacation camper parked on the side of the road, no one in sight. Kazu jiggled the handle and found it unlocked- He entered, looked around and found it was empty.
"Sweet." It was even more material than he needed, so he set to work immediately. He drew a glyph in the snow with his finger. Cupping the snow in his hands, he lifted it to the camper- the impact was almost instant liquefaction of the vehicle, into raw metal and plastic and fabric mess combined together. He closed his eyes to concentrate, reaching deep into the snow to touch the ground, willing the metals and plastics and organics to come back into the form in his mind, the long, sleek, powerful Batman motorcycle.
Sensing the metal move, arrange and hardened, he opened his eyes to get a better grasp on the situation. The body was coming together, forming over the heart-engine and the tubes. Wheels formed wide and ridged, little silver chains criss-crossing for added safety. The windshield formed, their seats formed, with a metal bar on the back for Skye to lean back on and pedals to rest her feet. He felt the process complete, felt satisfied, and freed himself from the snow, inspecting his handiwork. Some of it he fixed with his hands, but otherwise was happy. Using materials left over, he formed helmets for them both, hers with a curvy visor.
He hopped on, engaged the engine, flashed on the light and ripped the throttle taking off towards Veritas, where Skye would be waiting for him. The ride was so smooth, and maybe his design wasn't perfect, but he certainly didn't feel like he was freezing.
He knew the trick to winning a woman's heart was actually a series of conditions, but he had dated so much he was starting to get really good at it. Rule number one: Never keep a woman waiting. It turned seven the moment he left the path in the woods, and he pulled up to the bottom step, looking up at her.
Jeans, boots, and jacket wrapped tight. Face pale from the cold, which just made her hair even more brilliant and colorful. "Hey Gorgeous~ Your chariot has arrived." He called over the roar of the engine.

In the distance, she heard the roar of an engine approaching. She could have dismissed it as a car driving by, but as she squinted in the general direction of the noise, Skye could see the form of a bike. And who else would be riding it than Kazu? She stared at the bike in awe, but also in slight horror. It was freezing outside and she wasn't dressed enough to withstand the whipping cold wind that is a result of riding on a motorcycle in this temperature.
"Hey batman, I see you are somehow immune to this weather?"
[tbc. I am so sorry hayley.... >.>]
