Hair Colour and Style» Marley’s hair is naturally dirty blonde, but she dyes it dark, sometimes with colored streaks. Usually it’s a dark brown. It has a natural wave to it, but Marley usually straightens her hair and her bands are usualy down, often covering her left eye.

Distinguishing Features» Marley has many scars on different parts of her body, the most noticeable being one on her face – across her left eye.
Clothes» Marley cannot afford anything special, usually goodwill jeans and old sneakers. She prefers wearing ripped jeans and band tees. She may describer her style as “goodwill punk”. She likes novelty jewelry and usually wears pretty thick eye makeup.

Family History» Marley was abandoned on the city streets of LA at approximately 10 months old. Her story was a national headline for about a week before everybody forgot about her, and she became subject to the foster care system. Marley can’t even count the number of times she has been moved from place to place, looked at by hundreds of families who would prefer adopting an ethnic child. Then by the time she was 7, she realized nobody was going to adopt anybody as old as her. And while some of the children at the foster homes became a friend of sorts to Marley, they could never be described, as ‘siblings’ and Marley never particularly cared for anybody.
Quite a few of the guardian’s Marley had were abusive. She was not lucky when it came to the homes she was put into. And when Marley was put into a good home, paranoia set in and she would lash out and things would start to explode, which resulted in her being sent elsewhere.
Very recently, Marley’s biological older brother – Preston – found her and took her in. He too was abandoned, but was adopted and separated from Marley.

Personality» Marley is a seemingly angry individual. She is known for her strong language and for generally seeming miserable. She is easily annoyed, and isn’t afraid to tell you when you piss her off or do something she doesn’t like. When threatened, Marley can become very aggressive. She only has two levels of anger: rage and calm. There is no in between for Marley. She is mischievous and doesn’t mind getting in a bit of trouble… or a lot of trouble. She will act like she doesn’t care when she really does. She’s easily hurt by others, but would never, ever show it. Most people simply don’t like Marley for her poor attitude and general apathy for everything around her. Because of her past she harbors a lot of social issues, generally being mean to those who try to help her. She tends to be somewhat philosophical despite her shortcomings, and is pretty good at giving advice. She would be a good friend to somebody who could handle her baggage.
Likes - skateboarding, loud music, “fucking shit up”, horror, bonfires, novelty jewelry, knowing other people have issues too

Academics» Marley doesn’t usually do well in school. She has dyslexia which doesn’t help, but the real problem is she just doesn’t care. She manages Ds and Cs
Powers» Ergokenisis (energy control): Marley can manipulate the energy of any object including herself. She can move objects, cause objects to explode, take energy from objects to use for herself. She can convert her own energy into heat, light and sound. While the power is very versatile, Marley’s control is very limited and depends on the amount of energy she has.
Discovery» When Marley was 7 she got into a fight with another child at her foster home. The other child started to hit her, and without hitting her back, the other girl was thrown across the room and hit the wall. After that, when Marley was sent to her room, she looked at her teddy bear with an angry glare, and it exploded. When she was 11 she started telling the other kids that she had “the force”.
Weakness/Vulnerability» Marley has the potential to self-destruct. If she takes in too much energy, she will literally explode. In addition, every time she puts energy into another object she loses energy herself, limiting the use of her power. Her anger does not help with her control, as anger often builds up her energy. Her body has to give off the energy so she doesn’t explode, so often things near Marley will explode.
Strengths» Marley doesn’t consider herself to have many personal strengths. But she is a good artist. She also gives good advice. She hates talking, so she’s a good listener.
