She also likes to wear black jeans and her black leather jacket and usually wears black sneakers or her black combat boots. Her nails are often painted black but chipped from biting her nails. She's also known for wearing chunky jewelry.

Family History» The Parrish's were a very religious family who prayed at every meal and went to church every Sunday. Amari and Michael met at a religious private college and were married in a church in their mid-twenties. They had two children, Jade and Lanie. Jade was never very much into it, but she participated out of respect. When Jade was the age of 13 and her younger sister Lanie was 9, a fire started in their house at night, burning the old victorian house to the ground and taking Lanie with it, as they were unable to get her out of the house because she was trapped in her bedroom.
Her parents relied on religion to keep them sane and Jade tried to go on with her everyday life, but her parents began to think she was crazy when she began claiming to see Lanie.

Personality» Jade isn't your average teenager, because of the fact that she sees ghosts on a daily basis, but she is pretty sociable and fun loving. She loves a good rush, like rock climbing or other activities, but also enjoys the calmness that surrounds her when she swims. She's also very opinionated and always thinking about everything, but she is in no way rude or in your face. She's just independent and yearns to make her own decisions of what she believes in, since she was raised in such a strict, religious family. She is also very emotional because of her connection to the dead and can't seem to let go of her sister.
Despite her dark appearance and taste in clothes and music, she is an old soul and is very kind and giving.
Likes - Swimming, getting lost in music, singing, cigarettes, old films, antiques, jewelry and coffee.
Dislikes - Realism, religion (she prefers to call herself spiritual), hospitals and bright colors.

Academics» Jade does fairly well, B's and C's, so somewhat average. She's often distracted by the spirits she encounters.
Powers» Mediumship. She can see and interact with the dead and can enter the spirit world.
Discovery» At her younger sister Lanie's funeral, Jade began to see her sister, standing at her own funeral and ever since then she's been interacting with her sister and can see other dead people, but only if they want to be seen. Some spirits flock to her, follow her because they need somebody to talk to, some hate her for being able to see them.
Weakness/Vulnerability» In relation to her power, Jade has been viewed as crazy or people think that she's lying and that she's not really seeing spirits. She is also vulnerable to the spirits and they can sometimes take over her body if she does not have her guards up.
Pertaining to her personality, she is very unwilling to accept the death of others and lives as if they are actually still alive, especially her sister. She is also very emotional and sensitive.
Strengths» Jade's biggest strength would be her loyalty to people she loves. She is also very sentimental and understanding. Having such a connection to death has molded her into someone who never really believes that people are actually dead, just that they've gone somewhere else.
