" Okay, you need to promise not to laugh or dislike me. So, you see I have been hurt by many people so I have learned to put up walls so that people wont want to be friends with me. At school, I'm kinda a jerk because I don't really feel comfortable getting close to anyone. So now I just snap at people for random reasons. I hate that side of me but I feel like its the only way for people to stay away from me." For some reason, Augustus felt very comfortable around Alea. He is never like this except when with his family.
" Yeah, I like French better too. I feel like its a beautiful language. It's also the language that I heard the first few years of my life."
He laughed at Fang who was enjoying being scratched behind his ears. Augustus thought that he seemed like a very loyal dog.

Aela didn't judge him, nor laugh or said anything until he was done. When he was, she wasn't sure what to tell him. "Then I guess I am very lucky to not see that side of you." she said to him with a grateful smile. "People pull pranks on me because it is easy and less of a challenge than most people ..." Aela looked down for a moment, fiddling with her fingers. "I'm just glad to know that at least someone has the heart not to do that."
She then smiled and nodded. "Really? Are you from Quebec as well?" she asked him as she looked back up to where she last heard him. "Or are you from France? I've always wanted to go there." Aela gave him a more sweeter smile as she continued to scratch behind Fang's ear, who was wagging his tail, panting, and thumping his left foot on the ground. He was happy, and she liked it when he was.

"Yes, you are pretty lucky. For some reason, I feel really comfortable around you, like I can tell you anything. I usually only feel comfortable around my family. It's so weird." He replied
" Yeah, I could never pull a prank on you. I mean you already have to deal with not being able to see why make you life worse? I don't see how anyone could do that. Even if I didn't like you I still wouldn't pull a prank on you. It's just mean. But if I know someone who is just fine, then I may play a prank on them, especially if they are rude."
" No, I am not from Quebec. I am from France. I lived there until I was three.We moved here because my dad got transferred here for work. I was still used to the language there though because my parents both spoke fluent French and they would always call their friends from France. I don't remember much because I was so young so I want to go back someday, but I need to finish school first."

Aela felt a blush rush to her face, but she forced it back down and smiled. "I am glad to know that you can trust me, even on the first meet." she said to him as she brushed a chocolate brown strand behind her ear, showing off more of her navy blue eyes. Aela looked to where she heard his voice as he spoke about pranking those who were rude or totally fine. "So," she began to say, "do you prank most rude people?" Aela asked in her broken English, obviously needing a little work in the grammar area. "My parents went there for their anniversary once." As soon as she mentioned her parents, her fists clenched a little and she let out a sad sigh, but if she stopped then he would probably push, like any other person that heard her start and stop talking about her parents. It was hard for her to talk about them, so she went on about France instead. "I hope to go there some day though, it seems like a nice place to be." ooc: Poor Aela ...  |

While Aela was replying Augustus saw that she blushed a little. He smiled, he had never had that affect on anyone. It made him feel special. He nodded when she said she was glad he could trust, but then he remembered she cant see so he just said "Mmmhmm" so that she knew he was still there and listening. " I don't prank a lot of people, but when I do they are mostly rude people, because you know why should I let them get away with something rude, like being mean to such a nice person, like you. I mean seriously, I see a lot of people being rude and bullying some of nicest people at our school I also see people bullying some of the people at our school who have a divisibility, lets just say the people that do don't like me very much." When Aela started talking about how her parents went there for the anivesery her face turned from happy to upset in a second. He felt bad and asked "Whats wrong? Did I say something to upset you?" OOC: Ikr Sad face! |

Aela shook her head and forced a smile. "No, nothing you said, something I said." she replied to him in a sad tone. "My parents, I hate to speak about them." This was the first time she had ever admitted that to a guy she just met. Though, she knew she could trust him, but what she was afraid of was him asking billions of questions about why she hated talking about them. If he was smart, he'd get the hint. "That's nothing you need to worry about though." Aela assured him with a smile. The only reason she said that was to get off of the topic, but she had to tell him what happened sooner or later, right?
Fang tilted his head and whimpered as he jumped up on the bench and laid down on her lap. 'It's ok, Aela," he told her through whimpers, 'you don't have to speak about it if you don't want to. And if he pushes, I'll gladly tear off his manhood.'
Aela let out a laugh. "No, you're not going to do that. He can ask if he wants to." she said to Fang as she patted his head softly.

" Oh, okay." He replied. He could tell she didn't want him asking questions so it didn't. He could tell that that might be a sensitive subject for her. He figured that part of the reason that she wasn't really wanting to talk about it is that she had just met him. He didn't blame her for not wanting to revel her life story to a guy she just met.
He decided to change the subject to lighten the mood. " So, what else should I know about you that you haven't told me?" he smiled while asking the question, even though she wouldn't be able to see him.

Aela could hear his smile through his voice, which also made her smile as well. She thought for a moment at his question, not really sure what she hadn't told him that he already know. "Uhmm ..." she muttered thinking, "have I told you that I am afraid of fire?" Her eyes looked to where she could hear him, wondering if she had already told him or not. It was kind of a habit, really. She tells someone something and then suddenly she repeats it again without even knowing it, until someone points it out anyway.
Fang sniffed the air and looked over, seeing a couple of Spiritus jocks heading towards Aela. He growled deeply as the approached, not wanting them anywhere near sweet Aela.
"Hey, animal girl," one joked with a wide smirk, "why you hangin' out with him? He ain't worth nothing."
"He's worth more than you boys," Aela snapped, her tone suddenly changing from nice and gentle to harsh and cold.
ooc: I had to XD GUY CONFLICT!!! xD
In this corner, one being furry and the other invisible ... AUGUSTUS AND FANG!!
In the other corner, both loving to harass blind women ... DUMB AND DUMBER!!

"Now that I think about, no I don't think you have told me. May I ask where that fear came from?" He asked curiously. He was having a really great time talking to Aela, she was someone that he knew he could trust.
He heard something so he looked down to where the noise was coming from he saw it was some jerks from school. " Oh great just great" he thought to himself.
He hated them. So when they called Aela "Animal Lover" , he got really upset. "Watch your mouth!" He spat back. He wasn't gonna let them treat Aela like this. She had already been though enough.

Fang jumped down from her lap and growled viciously at the boys, warning them to stay away from his owner. 'You touch her like last time and I'll bite through your groin so hard you won't have non!'
The boys just laughed at the growling dog. "What's the matter? Angry about last time?" The first jock kicked the dog out of the way, sending him sprawling to the ground. Fang let out a whimper of pain as he landed.
Aela heard him and stood up, but they had already grabbed her by the arm. "Let ... let go of me!"
The second jock laughed. "Why? We're just having a little fun ..."
"That's what you said last time! You bastards are the reason I lost my virginity!!" Aela struggled to break free of their grasp on her arm, which was now red from how tight they were holding her.
ooc: Yeah, shit about to go down all right. What happens if he finds out that two people violated her in that way? Just curious ... XD

OOC: This is about to get ugly.... Poor Fang and Aela!! IC: Augustus was starting to get angrier by the minute. They totally ignored him when he told them to watch their mouths. Now they were getting physical. He watched them kick Fang, and he knew Aela wouldn't like that, so he went to go help the dog when he remembered that they had said "What's the matter? Angry about last time?". What happened last time?! he wondered. Just when he was about to help Fang when he heard Aela tell them to let go. Instantly he turned back to go help Aela. He knew that Fang would be okay with him leaving to go help Aela when she finally was able to free her arm. He let out a sigh of relief and let the anger fade,but when he heard what they had done to Aela, all of the anger came rushing back. "YOU DID WHAT?! HOW COULD YOU WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?! ARE YOU HAPPY WITH YOURSELF?" He screamed at them before attacking them. He wasn't nearly as strong as them, but he had better fighting skills. He kicked them both to the ground. Then started punching and kicking them as hard as he could. He was so angry that they did that to poor Aela. He knew they needed to be taught a lesson. He decided that Fang would also be able to help. "Hey Fang, can you help me teach these to losers a lesson or two?" |

'Gladly,' Fang replied, although he knew that he couldn't hear him. Instead, he gave him a growl and attacked one of the jocks. He screamed as Fang bit into his flesh. 'Yeah bastard!! FUCK YOU!!'
Aela stepped away from what she was hearing. Fighting. It didn't make her smile, but those bastards were getting what they deserved. They hurt her, so now they are going to hurt them. Aela called that a simple act of justice, and by her accounts, justice was being served the good old fashioned way. Through pain.
When the fight was over, Fang walked back to Aela limping. His rib cage had been broken, and jumping into the fight didn't make it any better. Fang watched as the boys ran away screaming for their lives, then he turned back to Aela. 'They're gone,' he whimpered out with a wolfish grin.
"You're hurt Fang ..." she whispered as she knelt down to him. Her fingers gently traced along his rib cage to feel that a part of it was broken. "You should not have fought ..."

After the boys ran away Augustus walked back to Aela. "I'm so sorry you had to witness that. I just couldn't let them get away with what they did to you. I hope they understand now that they shouldn't hurt such a wonderful person like you."
He sat down next to Aela again and saw that she was examining Fang. When she said that Fang was hurt he felt terrible. It was him who started the fight and it was him who asked Fang to help. "I'm so so so so so so so so so so so sorry for bringing Fang into the fight. I thought that he might want to help. I'm so sorry I didn't know he was hurt. If I did I would have never brought him into the fight. Please please please forgive me!" he begged

Aela looked at him for the longest moment, then she began to laugh. "Why are you so sorry?" she asked still laughed as she placed a gentle hand on his shoulder. "This is what Fang was born to do, fight for his pack. It does not matter if he is injured. He would've fought even if you didn't ask for his help." Her fingers touched the bottom of his chin before training her focus back on Fang.
Fang gave her a wolfish grin. 'I'll be fine French Fry, I'm not badly hurt. Been through worse ...' he told her as he nudged his nose against her face.

" I just feel like its my fault. That's all. I feel like I should have done something to prevent the fight." He said so quietly that he could barely be heard.
"Anyway, so back to our conversation. So, where has your fear of fire come from?" He asked. He thought that the fear may have come from an event from the future, but he wasn't sure. For all he knew she really just could have been born with the fear. Just like people are born with the fear of heights or spiders or any other thing in the world.
