Family History» Tanner doesn't know about his biological family. If he ever did know of them, he doesn't remember. He's spent so much time with his adoptive father, that any inklings of a previous life are gone. He didn't get along with his father at the beginning. In fact, he didn't understand why he'd adopted him from the orphanage in Brighton at the young age of 8. He was a cruel man and frequently abused Tanner as he grew up. Tanner was aware that there seemed to be something that his father was hiding, although he didn't know what and he was afraid of trying to figure it out, but tried to anyway. His snooping resulted in a beating that he doesn't like to remember and then the event that changed his life. His father called upon a man with the power to control minds. He put a sort of hypnotic charm on Tanner that altered his discipline and made him obedient of his father. He is unaware of the fact that he is being controlled and goes about his normal life, as if this is who he really is.
If he were to ever break free of the control and find out what has been done to him, he would be furious.

Personality» Tanner is normally a very curious guy who was a little rough around the edges. He didn't grow up in a proper environment (as he was in orphanages and then with Elijah who treated him horribly). However, the mind control he is enduring has altered his personality, darkening him although he doesn't know of it. Really, underneath the sneaky, conniving personality that he portrays, he is a guy with a love for swimming and he is extremely talented at science and loves to cook, although it's not usually something he advertises. He's actually really amicable too (when you get to know him), a guy who looks out for others and is loyal until proven that he shouldn't be. He is very independent and willing to fight for what he believes in. This is the personality he believes himself to have and which he does have, when he is not doing Cain's dirty work. He does not remember the horrible things he does most of the time and only sees himself as a troublemaker, not somebody who is an evil minion to Cain.
Likes - Swimming, taking risks, cooking, science classes.
Dislikes - The Spiritus Swim team, his father, coffee, waking up early, ignorance.

Academics» Tanner is efficient enough in Academics. He gets mostly B's. Science has always been his strong suit though.
Powers» Time manipulation. He can freeze time temporarily and only those who are immune to it wouldn't be frozen along with time. He can slow and accelerate time as well as rewind it. He can move freely when this is happening.
Discovery» He was being beaten by his father when he discovered his power. He froze time and was able to take a step back away from him and see his father frozen there and yell at him and tell him how much he hated him for it.
Weakness/Vulnerability» Pertaining to his power, Tanner can't freeze time for more than a few hours. That's the longest he's been able to, but perhaps he will be able to longer at some point. It takes a lot out of him. He also has trouble accelerating time too much into the future or too far into the past. It has some limitations.
Involving his personality, Tanner often uses ridiculous attempts at humor to cover up actually feeling something or explaining his feelings. However, he is actually very emotional and very angst-ridden.
Strengths» Tanner is loyal, independent and willing to fight for what is right. (Well, when he's not being evil).

Additional Information» Tanner carries around an old golden pocketwatch that he's had since he was adopted. He assumes it's from his family and so he always has it. It reminds him of his power.
