Lidaya tied her long black hair into a ponytail, leaving some strands hanging loose. It was a good day for Lidaya. She mastered the art of using two animal skills, and learned a whole new animal skill too! It would be really helpful for competitions involving holding her breath. This skill is from a Dolphin, able to swim faster than any human being, and can hold their breaths for up to fifteen minutes. In her mind, it was a rather useful skill in case she needed to stay under water for a long period of time. Lidaya thought for a moment, and wondered if she could time herself while using the skill, to test and see if she can hold her breath longer than fifteen minutes. She dug in her bag for her waterproof stopwatch and set it to counting up.
Lidaya held her breath as she turned on the timer, and dove underwater. The animal trait began to activate as the dolphin skill kicked in. It felt like she could hold her breath for hours, and it seemed like it at the time. Lidaya couldn't hear anything that was above at the moment, so she was unaware of the boy walking in to use the pool as well.

Tanner walked into the pool, expecting to find it empty. Well, he could at least hope it would be empty. But it wasn't. He ran a hand through his black hair as he found a place to set his towel down. He didn't really even know why he continuously dyed it from its natural blonde color, but he did. And every time it started to fade back, he'd dye it again. It was more of a habit than anything else. All he knew was, he'd started dying it a few years ago and hadn't stopped since then. Maybe because he didn't feel like the boy he used to be. He just couldn't put his finger on it...
He spotted a figure beneath the surface of the water and frowned a bit. So much for empty. He jumped in the pool anyway, resurfacing and pushing his hair out of his face.

Lidaya caught a glimpse of another figure jump into the pool. She studied the figure for a moment. It was obviously a male, and she recognized him from the swim team. However, Lidaya was so distracted on observing the male that she lost track of her skill and she began to gasp for air. With a swift kick off the pool floor she popped back up and coughed up water like there was no tomorrow. She grabbed the edge of the pool and took a deep breath. She spotted her timer and grabbed it. "A half hour ..." she mumbled to herself with a bright smile, then coughed again as she tried to get the water out of her lungs.
