Clothes» During the day she wears pretty dresses and flats or sometimes switches it up with a jumper and jeans - her style changes depending on what she feels like, and seems to shift between smart, casual and even indie. However when it reaches the night time you can expect her to be wearing tight, expensive dresses and high heels with some equally expensive perfume and necklaces thrown into the mix. She likes to party in style.

Father» Harrison Lockie Slade, a very successful multimillionaire who manages various successful companies and also has his own airline, Slade Airlines which is steadily becoming a top airline. He born into a relatively poor family and over the years built himself up to where he is today, with no small amount of blood, sweat and tears.

Family History» Riley Slade was born with a silver spoon firmly placed in her mouth. From the word go she was smothered with designer clothes and only the very best, as her mother saw fit, and her father didn’t protest. If a five year old Riley wanted the cute porcelain doll in the shop window, then the chances were quite heavily in her favour. As she became older and grew into herself, she became more aware of the actual wealth of the family and her father. As she aged, her toddler charm also began to fade and she no longer received everything she wanted; however, a cunning edge started to peep through and it wasn’t long before Riley would try and figure out ways to get what she wanted, be it through over complimenting her parents, or subtly making them feel bad about something. She was never one to throw a tantrum and hissy fit over being refused something, or be overly emotional but growing up, and even to the present day, Riley has a bit of a sly edge to her in the sense that she will control herself but that doesn’t mean she is all sweet and mild and not without ulterior motives.
When Riley was fifteen her mother succumbed to the breast cancer that she had been battling with for two years, and it hit the girl very badly. She had always been close to his mother so she was understandably upset about the loss and he went through a bad few months, where, rather uncharacteristically she didn’t go out drinking or trying to have a good time. Instead she sat in her room, thinking, reveling in the silence. Recovering took her several months but on the very first night out for her, she was back to her usual ways. She doesn’t really tell anyone much about those months and if he had the choice, she’d rather forget about them.
Her father is almost always working so Riley if left to his own devices most of the time, and she often has full control of her mansion. She is known for not exactly being a silent girl and she throws parties and invites far too many people around during the holidays. The state of the house after such events? Far from pristine.

Personality» Riley has a small superiority complex to her. Whilst she is generally friendly to those around her, and is can be labelled a ‘nice’ girl, she can sometimes inadvertently act patronising or order people around due to her wealth, and she is often more comfortable socialising with those who have money like her. She has an ego to her and she is extremely flirtatious, delving into the realms of being a seductress; it’s fun, so why not? The cunning and manipulative side she possesses sometimes shines through, particularly when she wants something and is being denied it, because, well, that just drives her insane.
Whilst she has a good heart and doesn’t like to see people upset, and will attempt to help them, arguably being a pretty good friend, she can be oblivious to when she is doing wrong. Riley is one to go out, drink more alcohol than necessary, dip into some drugs and overall try and have a good time, but that doesn’t mean she is an airhead. She has a brain to her and sometimes she can shock people. You want a Keats quote? She can probably give you one. Shakespeare? Sure. Just don’t expect her to be shooting her hand up eagerly in class, because in reality she sits there half willingly, not exactly the model student. Her homework may be a different matter, however, and yes, she does do her homework because in her own words “juggling work and play is something I am just good at, darling.” Sometimes you may even find her, shock horror, drinking some vodka and reading at the same time. Sarcasm comes naturally to her although she usually saves that for people who she feels comfortable around, rather than her casual flings - she is aware some people, annoyingly, can't handle sarcasm, and why ruin a hot boy she wants to sleep with by giving him a sarcastic comment?

Academics» Riley doesn't appear enthusiastic in class and often puts in only a bit of effort. She won't put up her hand unless she is feeling particularly rosy, but if you do pick on her for an answer she will usually be able to give it to you just fine. She has an intelligent brain and when it comes to homework, she manages to average mostly A and B grades.
Powers» If she says ‘you’re blind’ to someone then they become blind, if she said ‘you’re beautiful’ to someone then they would become beautiful and so on. Whatever she states like that, becomes reality.
Discovery» Rewind eight years and that is when Riley Slade discovered her power. It all began when she was playing in her garden like any innocent nine year old and there was a bird nearby, on the water fountain. The bird was fairly plain, so Riley aired her opinion that the bird needed to have some colourful feathers of some sort. It wasn't long before the plain black bird had been transformed into an exotic peacock. Intrigued, and obviously very shocked, Riley couldn't believe what was going on, so she experimented a little more. Let's just say that when she managed to turn her mother's hair pink, the chaos started. Her parents were freaked out and thought something was wrong with Riley - they took her to doctors but the young girl refused to do anything and just sat there, claiming that she didn't know what her parents were speaking of. Her ability became like the Elephant in the Room which was never really spoken about, and if it was mentioned a glare would be given or a sharp slap on the arm. Whilst Riley got away with many, many things, the only thing she ever seemed to be punished for was using her abilities in front of her mother, and now her father, who has decided to respect his late wife's feelings and not encourage Riley's abilities.
Weakness/Vulnerability» The power of Riley's abilities depends on how calm or angry she is in a situation. If she is angry, her power is intensified, but alternatively if he is extremely focused then her power is also stronger than normal. If she is half hearted with his words, then the effect is dimmer and sometimes can even fade away after a few minutes.
Personality wise, Riley is prone to underestimating those around her and not seeing when she is overstepping the line or doing something wrong.
Strengths» Riley is a flirt, pure and simple. She likes to think that she knows how to twist a boy around her little finger and have them eating out of the palm of her hand, and quite often she does. She's pretty damn good at seduction and she likes to have a good time - sex and drinking being high on the list of things she just does. However she does have a good heart and she is kind, and not a bitch despite her "sluttish" ways. She doesn't like to see people upset and unless she really dislikes someone, she won't try to upset anyone. It may be a bit of a surprise but she is rather good at listening to people complain and offering a bit of advice, and she will drag a friend out for a good night of fun if they need it. She's confident and self assured and this helps her a lot in her life.
