Siblings» She had an older sister who died in a car accident when Persy was two
Family History» She was born in Germany, and went to an expensive American private school before coming to Spiritus. Her father runs a very prestigious German law firm and her family is overly wealthy. Persy has always been expected to take over the company after her father, and is under a lot of pressure to do well in school and never in any way cause trouble or deviate from the perfect ideal her parents have set for her. She doesn’t like this and wishes she had more freedom, but is scared to confront her family. Her greatest fear is disappointing her parents, and because of this she never told them about her power, scared they’d think her a freak or not good enough. She doesn’t really dislike her parents, but they don’t have an open relationship and she never tells them much about her personal life. They live in Germany, and she only flies in to see them on holidays and such. During the summer she does her best to stay at a friend’s house because she hates how trapped she feels when forced to follow the rules at home.

Personality» Persy isn’t antisocial or an inherently mean person, but she was raised to see everyone as obstacles in the way of her own success and she’s very paranoid when she meets new people. She generally doesn’t trust strangers and can be quick to assume the worst about people. Once you gain her trust, however, she’s a very loyal friend and fun to be around.
She is always a little secretive about her personal family life, and doesn’t tell most people that she is from a rich family. In Germany, she is constantly viewed as “the daughter of Stefan Gottschalk” and is used to strangers trying to judge her and see if she’s good enough for the position she will inherit. She wants her friends to only be able to judge her by her actual character and actions, not her money. This is why she dresses modestly and never gets salon hair or expensive things. She wishes she could have a choice of what to do with her life, but doesn’t really have a dream to do anything specific, and feels guilty for not fully appreciating what she has. However, she hates people that flaunt their money and things they bought/own, or try to give an appearance of wealth, because she feels that they’re hiding their true personality.

Academics» Persy hates schoolwork, but always studies hard so as to please her family, and generally gets A’s with the occasional B. She’s had rebellious times in past schools where she would cut class for weeks at a time, and her parents had to pull strings so it wouldn’t affect her grades too badly. She’s never failed a class, though she might have if her parents hadn’t stepped in.
Powers» Percy can communicate with animals, meaning she can get them to do things for her. Animals automatically like her, and won’t attack her, though if an animal is rabid or had just felt threatened by something it might take some strength to keep them away. The most she can do is to get animals to bring her things or follow a scent. It takes more strength to get larger animals to do things for longer periods of time, and the most she’s ever done was make a large hawk fly for about twenty minutes back to her friend, give them a note, and then bring a note back. This made her pretty much collapse on the spot and need a couple hour nap.
Discovery» She had always noticed that mice and cats and squirrels and things outside were always drawn to her, but didn’t think it was anything unusual. Then, one day, she was sitting in her room at home when she thought about how she wished the door would shut, and her cat suddenly got up and nudged it closed. Persy had thought she imagined it at first, but then over the next few weeks other little things started happening, like a pigeon bringing over her dropped pencil and a turtle swimming up from a pond with her hair clip that she had lost. She realized that her parents and friends might react badly to this and started watching her thoughts, making sure to think about not wanting anything to help her achieve her smaller wishes.
Weakness/Vulnerability» She has big limits to her power, as animals can only do so much and can’t open doors/do complicated actions. Also, it takes a lot of strength to work with strong animals and she generally sticks to nothing bigger than medium-sized dogs. Also, she can’t actually *communicate* with them in the form of words, and if her thoughts aren’t specific enough something bad could happen. With people, Persy is untrusting and automatically assumes people dislike her. She constantly doubts herself, thinking she’s not good enough for her family/ friends.
Strengths» Persy is very goal-oriented, and will do anything to do what she feels she must. She is also very loyal of her friends, and will stand by them in the worst situations. Even though she dislikes school, she is fairly smart, and can usually find a solution if she is very determined to solve whatever problem’s at hand.

Relationship Status» Persy had a boyfriend she cared about very much but when she told him about her power he was weirded out. He called her a freak and wouldn’t talk to her for about a week. When she left for the school they had never fully talked out their issues and this really worsened her self-esteem issues. She’s single now.
