Family History» Phoenix was born and raised in Alaska until he was about 12 years old. He then moved with his parents to Las Vegas after they managed to get their own headlining show at one of the hotel/casino resorts. He kept to himself for a while, feeling very uncomfortable being surrounded by bright lights all the time.
When his parents began using him in their magic acts, he rebelled and turned into a typical emo loner. He began reading up on urban myths and legends and became fascinated by them. When his parents discovered what he was up to, they banned that stuff from their home, which cause Phoenix to become more repressed. They eventually shipped him off to Canada to live with his uncle, who is rarely home due to the fact that he's a traveling salesman.

Personality» Phoenix is a bit of a loner. He keeps to himself, only speaking when spoken to. He prefers living in a fantasy world instead of the real world.
If you can get him to open up, he can be a good friend. He's trustworthy, loyal, and reliable. He will always lend an ear or a shoulder to cry on.
He has a slightly morbid sense of humor. Phoenix likes dark themed things and can be a bit sarcastic at times, as well. But he never crosses the line when it comes to joking around.
Things that make him tick include ignorant people, superiority complexes, lying, and abusing his trust.
Likes - Rock music, the color black, horror films, mythical creatures, being alone, the dark, the forest.
Dislikes - Overly cheerful people, bright colors, other genres of music, sports, school in general.

Academics» Phoenix is a bit of a slacker. He does only what is necessary and manages to scrape by. He has come close to failing a few times, and even did fail biology his freshman year. English is his best class, and Italian is his worst. His favorite is mathematics, though.
Powers» Phoenix has the power to mimic the mythical creature known as a phoenix. He can levitate(not fly), create sparks with his fingers(no flames), and has a semi-healing touch.
Discovery» Phoenix discovered these powers right before his parents shipped him to Canada. He was messing around in his room one night, having told off his parents for trying to 'levitate' him in one of their acts. He kept thinking about it over and over again, dwelling on what they had done. When he looked down, he realized he was actually hovering in mid-air. Startled, he lost his focus and fell to the floor with a thud, banging his head against the foot board of his bed. As he reached up to touch his wound, a strange tingling sensation shot through him, and when he checked himself out in teh mirror, there were no signs of ever being injured. The sparks were an accidental discovery after getting angry at his father for something. He felt an odd burning sensation in his hands and saw little orange flickers dancing at his fingertips.
Weakness/Vulnerability» He's a bit emotionally unstable at times. he can have a hard time trusting others, even though he expects others to trust him. As for his powers, being distracted/loud noises can interfere with his ability to levitate. And water/ice/snow counteracts his ability to create sparks. He hasn't found a weakness for his healing powers yet.
Strengths» Phoenix doesn't have many strengths. His loyalty to people who get close to him could be a strength, I suppose. He's intelligent when it comes to pop culture. And he's pretty creative, both with writing and drawing.
