AJ was leaving the headmaster's office, having dropped a typed proposal on the desk. She hoped it at least made some sort of difference, because after her last powers class, she wasn't sure that it was even helping her and Gabe. Her power was something that couldn't be used positively as far as she was concerned and trying to control it just proved difficult and could mess a lot of things up, so she preferred to just isolate herself from others. It had to be easier that way.

Mr. Pierce,

I am an eleventh grade student here at Spiritus Academy and I have been attending since the middle of my ninth grade year. I've been placed in powers classes with Gabriel James because our powers are similar and it has occurred to me that our powers can't seem to be helped by this class. We're supposed to learn how to control our powers, but trying to control powers like these can result in us using people, something we do not want to do. And the assignments are on using our powers constructively and I wonder how exactly can a girl like me with lust/sexual inducement use my powers for the greater good? I can only use them selfishly or not use them at all and that goes for Gabe as well. Are we supposed to be selfish? I don't know how we can be helped or trained to better control our powers, but this isn't the way. I don't know if you've had to deal with a case like me before, but I don't know how to live a normal life without ruining others' and feeling horrible about myself.

My powers class teacher told me to go to you, so here I am. Please consider my proposal.

She left the office, sighing to herself, hoping that it had been at least worth her time.

Oceaniana was well aware that if she got caught sneaking around the Headmaster's offices she would of been in big trouble. Daytime or not. That's why she had hidden behind a tall cabinet when the office door swung open. Her heart had been pounding, expecting the head master himself to walk in, so she was relieved to see a fellow student. She watched the brunette drop a letter off onto his desk, and the leave. As soon as the girl was gone, curiosty get the better of her, and so she jumped up and headed towards the big oak desk in the middle of the room.

Oceaniana's eyes scanned the rest of the letter, and then she read it through once more. She could empathize with the writer of the letter, she knew what it felt like to ruin other peoples life. She herself had killed both her mother and her father.

Ocean didn't know what she was going to do, but she was already on her way out the door and down the corridor to catch up with AJ. She spotted her. "AJ?" She went to put her hand out of the girls shoulder to stop her, but then thought better of it. "AJ?" She repeated, trying to get her attention.

AJ had began her way down the corridor when she thought she heard a voice behind her. She turned around right away, knowing that she could not ignore it, because ignoring it could mean the difference between someone touching her to get her attention and something going down she didn't want or just having a conversation. It was a blonde girl. She was on the cheer team, wasn't she? AJ just knew she didn't know her very well, that was all. "Uh, hi," she managed, wondering why she was being talked to. "Did you need something?" She tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear, looking to her for an explanation.

Ocean painted a polite smile on her face as AJ turned around to face her. "Hey," She had a friendly tone to her voice, one that was usually not seen by anyone in Spiritus but her closest and dearest. She looked around the corridor, shooting a few glares at back and watched them backed off, before turning her attention back to AJ. "I just wanted to speak to you about... er..." What was she going to say? Ocean hadn't exactly planned this. She had just acted on impulse after reading AJ's letter to the Headmaster. "...about that letter you left for the Head. I'm sorry I shouldn't of read it. But I can totally sympathize with you." She said, deciding to go with honesty mixed with a little lie. Ocean loved her power. "Or would you prefer to go somewhere quieter?" She asked, looking around at the students that had moved closer to try and listen into their conversation.

AJ watched as the girl turned and glared at a few people, confused. She wrapped her arms around herself self-consciously and waited to hear what the girl was going to say. She wanted to speak to her about something? And how did she even know her name? There were so many questions. She swallowed when the girl mentioned the letter. She'd read it? She was in the office? No, she shouldn't have read it. But she could sympathize? How?

AJ glanced around at the few people who had been watching them. And she nodded in response. "Yeah, not here," she mumbled.
