Siblings» A younger sister who is 13, named Meagan.
Family History» Dakota always had a fairly good relationship with his parents and his younger sister. Dakota was a typical teenage boy who would rather be with his friends than his family, but he still really cared about them and it showed. When he turned fifteen he started being plagued by nightmares of fire engulfing a forest, surrounding him before it swallowed him up as well. He didn't tell his parents about the dreams even though they were unsettling him and continued to just tough it out, spending restless nights awake before school. Eventually the unthinkable happened and he woke up from a nightmare in the middle of the night with his sheets on fire. After this, his parents became dedicated to try and figure out what was wrong with him. They're pretty much a typical middle class American family.

Personality» Before being cursed as Dakota likes to call it, with his power, he was a sociable guy who had lots of friends and loved sports. He was your typical teenager. And then the nightmares began, scaring him awake many nights and then eventually resulting in a case of extreme insomnia.
One night his sheets caught on fire, but he wasn't harmed at all. Only his sheets were burned when his parents came rushing in after hearing him scream.
After this incident, Dakota became rather paranoid and developed a hatred for fire. He also became rather withdrawn from his friends and even quite irritable and easily angered. He now has quite a temper and doesn't like to be messed with. He'd rather sit back and observe people and situations than get involved with them. However, at times, his anger gets the best of him and then you better steer clear of him.
He is also rather oblivious to people flirting with him or relationship stuff in general.
Likes - Hockey, video games, working out, going running (it clears his head).
Dislikes - Fire, his power (or curse as he calls it), being bombarded with questions, being asked about his ability, people who try to start fights, when anger takes over him, nightmares.

Academics» Dakota was always alright in academics; however, he struggled with math and often had to be tutored one on one. His grades ranged from C's to B's.
Powers» Creating and controlling fire. He can manifest fire and control it, or control fire that is already started. However, he has a lot of issues with this and doesn't like fire, which actually causes problems for him. He's afraid of himself and the power that he wields. His power also makes him abnormally warm to the touch. He is not affected or damaged by fire in anyway, and is immune to it.
Discovery» He kept having nightmares about forests burning and being in the middle of it until he too was engulfed in flames. One time he woke up in the middle of the night and his bed was on fire.
Weakness/Vulnerability» His power is weak against water and ice, obviously. And his power also happens to make him a bit hotheaded. This is a weakness that can get Dakota into many unwanted situations. He is also afraid of his ability and doesn't want it.
Strengths» A good hockey player, strong-willed and physically strong as well. He is also a very fast runner.

Relationship Status» Single. He had one girlfriend back in Colorado, but when his fire problems started...well, that didn't last.
