The winds blew rather softly on the green grass of the wild park, the sound of children running and playing around mixed with young adults sitting next to each other cuddling and even kissing filled the atmosphere. Quite a beautiful sight actually. The birds chirped in rhythm with the beautiful scenery, and a few yards away from the line of the sight of park goers, a blonde man stood, with his dark sunglasses, looking at the sight as he chewed gum. The sight disgusted him for all it mattered. Puny humans mingling, even children. Ugh. He hated that sight. Not to be bitter cause well, he never did experience being a child. All he did was work and study. Quite pitiful, really. But no one cares about his story . No one ever did. And so here he was, with an annoyed look on his face as he walked down the hill towards the park.
As he walked down, the sound got even louder and it annoyed him further, his boots slamming on the ground as he kept his head down and kept on walking. All he wanted was some peace and quiet. His dorm was filled with people calling their girlfriends or giggles. So he couldn't rest. So he left and made his departure quite audible. And by audible I mean practically ionizing the door and completely turning it to ashes before walking away to the park. Which was an even worse idea. If only he could just ignite the air so they'd all burn. Oh wait, he can. He's just too lazy to do so. Uriel walked down to one of the benches, where a couple was snuggled up. A sigh escaped his lips before he turned to them and spoke.
"Move, this is my spot."
He noticed them not paying attention. So without hesitation, Uriel dropped his newspaper and crossed his arm, his violet eyes glowing. And with that, the electrons around them buzzed and twirled around them even faster, causing a huge negative discharge. The electric field zapped them as they pathetically tried to run away. A smile formed on Uriel's lips as his eyes stopped glowing, and he sat at the bench, grabbing the empty Grande Starbucks cup, and with another glow of his eyes, the few remaining drops filled the cup and heated, and he sat there with his legs crossed.

With her dreams getting darker and her powers doing things she wasn't asking them to, Aura decided a walk in the Cranbrook Park would be best. With no swim practise that afternoon, she needed a distraction, and having completed her homework for the week had taken away the easiest option. She leaned against a tree, her fall jacket pulled tightly around her as she avoided the cool breeze that cut through the park. There were still children playing and parents chatting and couples holding hands, which was a sure sign that the coldest weather was yet to hit. Once it did, all of the smiling, laughing faces would retreat indoors to play and chat and cuddle where it was much warmer.
Watching such a pleasant, peaceful sight was sure to rest her mind, and so Aura stayed like that for a while, her straight black hair blowing across her face a few times as the wind changed direction. As he pulled a few stranged away from her eyes for the fifth time that day, she frowned at the sight of a guy saying something to a couple happily making out on a bench. Within seconds something strange seemed to happen and the people on the bench leapt up and ran off without a word.
Aura straightened up and abandoned her spot at the tree and found herself walking towards the person -- something she would not have done last year. Confrontation? So not her thing. "Hey," she greeted, though it was not all that friendly. "What did you do to those people? They looked like they were electrocuted or..." She narrowed her eyes suspiciously. "Do you attend Veritas?" she asked. She thought she recognised him from her school.

The blonde finally found peace. Reading a news paper while sipping his newly acquired coffee. And it was as if it was newly acquired as well. The perks of having Sub Atomic Manipulation under your fingers. Hell, he paid for tuition all by himself using his powers. Practically turned dozens of rocks to diamonds and sold them. Hence why he's having a pretty good life now. He stared down at his news paper and scrolled through the pages. Nothing much going on in the mortal world. Someone died of a shoot out, someone won the lottery and so on. Quite pathetic actually. They spend their media's time on these when they can focus on science and study about them. Their abilities and perhaps their races have a chance of surviving. His mind processed all of this as he kept on reading, his thoughts however was interrupted when someone approached him.
He didn't actually listen to her. Only kept on reading his newspaper, and when she's done ranting, he'd have no problem blasting her to where she came from. His ears however perked up when she spoke of something. Versitas. That dreaded school, Uriel rolled his eyes and let his newspaper down before audibly speaking "Do you mind? You're ruining my morning you rode---" Uriel looked up and his words were taken a back. he just attempted to sass a rather good looking girl. Solid 8/10 face. Probably a 9.6/10 smile. He smiled at her and said "Ah forgive me, and yes. I'm from Versitas. I know you...swim team?" Uriel flashed her another celeb-A list smile before holding his news paper, his eyes glowing purple again. His mind processed the molecular composition of the normal rose. And slowly, the newspaper crumbled to a paper rose before being colorized to be a shining red rose. Uriel offered it to her and said "Uriel. Uriel Mikhail. You are?"

Aura placed her hands on her hips and glared, waiting for what she assumed would be a rude reply from the guy. He had basically kicked a couple off a bench with what Aura guessed were his powers, though she had no idea how he had done it. Why would he be nice to her? In fact, it was entirely possible that he was going to use his powers on her, and she could not exactly defend herself with her powers in the middle of the park. She would be in a wicked amount of trouble if the school found out. Plus she hated using her powers.
She braced herself as he began to insult her, but he stopped mid-sentence when he looked at her, seemingly changing his mind. Her expression softened and she dropped her hands from her hips. Distracted by his questions, she momentarily dropped her interrogation of the way he had just acted. "Oh, uh, yeah. Veritas swim team." He probably knew her that way because the Veritas team won every year. She blinked in surprised when his eyes turned purple and the newspaper origami'd itself into a paper rose and then a red paper rose. "Wow, that's incredible." She glanced over her shoulders to make sure no one had seen, but no one was paying them any attention. She took the flower and smiled. "Do your eyes always go purple when you use your powers? That's pretty cool. Mine go black." She shook her head, silently scolding herself for mentioning her powers and moved on. "I'm Aura." She did not usually offer her surname because it meant being associated with the family that had shunned her.

The man's smile never left his face actually. A face he put whenever there are hot girls around, and fortunately for her, she's what he finds "Hot." Cute face, nice body and awesome smile. Cause if she didn't have those, she would've been cytoformed into a toad or even reduced to a singular atom with a mere snap of his finger. But she was cute so he'd be nice to her. Maybe he can score today. Uriel leaned on his hand and watched as her expression changed from feisty to amazed. Ah yes, his powers are destructive, beautiful and even swave. it can be anything he wills it to be actually. Sub-Atomic Manipulation is a very neutral power. And he was being rather flirty with it right now. Uriel listened to her as she spoke, but what he was thinking of was a plan to make her blush. To make her blush would definitely add some points to him.
"Turn black? Your eyes turn black? That's rather unusual. Maybe I can help with that...I helped fixing my eye as well." A wink escaped from Uriel's eyes as his violet eyes glowed brighter. And when she offered her hands, Uriel didn't hesitate to take it and place a kiss on it. "Aura. Ah, such a beautiful name. I am Uriel. Uriel Mikhail." He stood from the bench and smiled at her hand holding the rose, his eyes turned violet once more, and he looked down on the ground, where there was nothing but grass, but slowly the grass turned and twirled and formed a bouquet of roses, bundled by a green covering. Uriel picked it up but felt a slight dizziness in using his powers. Woah. He needed to learn to control his powers and not use it so often. Uriel offered it to her and smiled "Pretty flowers to a pretty girl." A wink from Uriel occurred before he spied an ice cream vendor on the far "Say, if I'm lucky enough. Maybe I can buy you an ice cream and we can talk about our powers?" He asked her sweetly, his white teeth showing again and he offered his arm for her to take.

Aura grimaced. She knew she shouldn't have mentioned her powers in any way. She didn't even like talking about them. "Nah, I don't use my powers much, so there's really no point in that," she told him with a dismissive shake of her head. The conversation needed to steer away from -- did he just kiss her hand? Aura's eyebrows shot up in surprise. People still did that?
She couldn't help but laugh a bit when he introduced himself again. "You told me that five seconds ago," she pointed out. "Uriel Mikhail. I got it," she teased, folding her arms across her chest, the paper rose still clutched in one hand. Movement at her feet distracted her and she looked down to see the grass form into more roses. She couldn't help but frown. "I don't think roses are really my thing," she said, but accepted the second one from him anyway. She cocked her head at him as he continued to be extremely flirtatious. At first it was sweet, but now it was beginning to bother her. She blinked and her eyes went black -- unknowingly to her -- and a thin black mist crept around the roses on the ground, wilting them. She blinked again in surprise and backed away, her eyes brown again. The mist evaporated and she gasped. She had not meant to do that. And yet, it happened.

The feeling around them changed when he laughed at him introducing himself for a second time. They always did that, and Uriel shrugged at her "Hey, I'm pretty sure a lot of guys introduce themselves to you. I just want ot make sure you won't forget me." A smile crept on Uriel's face again, and he felt her frown and talk about roses not being her thing. A small pouty-frown crawled on Uriel's lips as he spoke "Ah, sorry. I always thought pretty girls liked pretty roses. Guess I'm mistaken-" His words were caught on his throat when he saw her eyes change to black. But he didn't run away like most people would've, sure it was terrifying but his powers were terrifying as well. Really terrifying if he chose it to be. His eyebrows raised when the roses were covered with a dark mist and it collapsed to wilted ones. He tilted his head and stepped back, feeling his own eyes glow in anticipation.
When the mist evaporated, Uriel shot up to look at her, but instead of showing fright or disgust, he smiled at her and whispered "It's okay, I understand your powers.." Uriel, to make a point stepped on the wilted roses, and their molecular and atomical composition slowly fractured into carbon and started to move faster, and it ignited up in flames. Uriel stepped back and snapped his fingers, and the carbon molded themselves into halted H20 , turning it into a frozen ice fire. He placed his finger on his lips and whispered "Shh. Don't tell anyone Aura....and I think you gave me much more reason to bother you into buying us both ice cream. Come on, I have many things to tell you." And once more, he offered his hand for her to take.

Aura stared at the wilted roses, not sure how to react. She didn't mean to kill the flowers he had created, yet she did not feel completely bad. She wasn't a fan of them. They were too... flowery. When Uriel stood, she took a step back. What was he going to do now that he had seen some of her powers at play? Powers she couldn't even control. She tensed up, bracing herself for an explosion of some kind. He had only been trying to be nice, and here she was, rejecting the flowers in the worst way.
She shot him a confused look when he said he understood her powers, and watched as he stepped on the wilted plant. When they caught fire, she glanced around to make sure no one could see. They were using their powers in broad daylight! Luckily, no one was paying attention, but Aura still felt anxiety gnaw at her stomach. "I won't tell," she said slowly, then looked down at his offered hand. This time, she took it, albeit hesitantly. "Okay," she said, her voice slightly shaky. "But I don't really like ice cream, either."

Uriel smiled at her when she took his hand, and it wasn't a flirtatious smile anymore. More or likely it was a smile of a person who understood. He remembered every detail of his life, even that time where he almost killed two kids. Thankfully they were only....heavily injured and completely neutralized but still. He understood what it's like not be able to control your powers. He never had that problem, sure. But he still didn't want to see a pretty girl having trouble with that. A chuckle escaped his lips the moment she talked about how she didn't like ice cream. He gave her a rather cute pout before speaking "Well that's first. Someone who doesn't like Ice cream? What do you like then? Alcohol? Cause I have that." He chuckled at her before holding her hand firmly and walking to wherever. And he spoke.
"You know, Miss Aura, It's rather sad seeing you scared of your powers. You need to learn to love your powers. Sure you can kill plants and so on but every power has a positive side..Hell, my powers are fucking terrible. You know the Hiroshima bombing? I could probably do that. But I found a good use for it. What is your power exactly? Organic Rotting?" He tilted his head before stopping in his track, still holding her hand.

Her vulnerable side shone through as she stared at him, wondering what his plan was in helping her and where he was going to lead him. She was always the most vulnerable after her powers had gotten the better of her. But could he help? The school couldn't even help. She usually sat out of her powers class and if she managed to go the whole hour without sprouting demon horns, she got a full grade for the class. Her powers could be menacing. She wanted nothing to do with them. Well, or so she tried.
"Ice cream is too sweet," she replied with a shrug. "And I've never had alcohol but..." She grimaced at the thought of losing control. What if drinking made her powers completely take over as her mind was not at its fullest attention? The thought was terrifying.
She walked alongside him, unsure as to why he still held her hand. She didn't need to be led anywhere; it was not as if she could not see or walk for herserlf. "Your powers sound strong," she said quietly, shaking her head. It also sounded terrifying, though she had seen it do some pretty incredible things. "I... my powers are... dark," she admitted, her voice barely audible now. "D-demonic, you could say."

Uriel felt her finally starting to open up to him. He could relate, he knew that people with problems would take anyone to help them. And he's willing to help her. Quite a rarity. He'd usually just tell some person who needs help to go fuck themselves. But not her. And no, it's not cause she's cute...well she is. But he just felt connected to her. He knows it sounds like some pseudo bullshit but it was a different connection. Perhaps their powers attract? Uriel didn't know. But what he did know was he could help her. And he wasn't going to let that opportunity pass. Uriel stopped walking and spoke " Demonic powers? Hmm... well my powers are scientific so I don't know much about that but we're basically the same...and don't worry... I know you're secretly an angel" Uriel didn't even smile and said it as if it was a random fact before resuming to speak "Tell you what, maybe you'd like to have lunch first...actually no, I'll tell you what my plan is."
Uriel held both of her hands before releasing them. "You might have caught up to the fact that I'm Russian. And that I'm dangerous...but I was like you once, I was afraid of my powers and so on. And then I became the opposite of you, like totally confident in my powers. I thought I was the pinnacle and apparition of powerful, and the word "perfect" Should only be used on me because I am the greatest among the people and they should bow down to me. But then suddenly, a devastating emotional blow hit me, then another, then another up until my little confidence was beaten right out of me. And now I can't even look in the mirror without finding something wrong with me. There's always something bad about my powers and so on. So I want to help you, Aura... Are you willing to take my help, even if it's a drastic measure? And shaking hands as an agreement is so last century. You can give me a kiss on the cheek if you say yes." Uriel flashed her a sarcastic smile yet again.

Aura snorted at his angel comment and made a face at him. "Trust me, I'm no angel. No angel would do what I could," she said bitterly. "Besides, if I were an angel, my parents wouldn't have tried to have me exorcised when I was younger, nor would they have kicked me out." She clamped her mouth shut after that. She never really spoke of that, so why was she suddenly blurting it to someone she hardly knew? Just because he had powers too, and advised her that they could do dangerous things? Did she think that gave them some sort of a connection? No, she was just vulnerable and her powers were out of whack. She wasn't thinking straight. She had to get a hold of herself.
She folded her arms over her chest and faced him while he told her of his plan. Russian, yeah. She had caught that from his accent. She looked him over and noted the blonde hair. Not every blonde person was Russian, but still. His hair was so Russian. As were his eyes. Blue-eyed blonde. A regular girl's dream. Too bad Aura's were too full of nightmares. She turned her attention back to what he was saying.
She scowled at him. "Was that speech supposed to help me?" she asked dryly. "Because telling me I should have confidence in my powers and then proceeding to explain how you became a complete ass after having confidence in your powers doesn't exactly help." She stared at him, unimpressed. She made no move to kiss his cheek or shake his hand.

A frown was apparent on Uriel's face as he listened to her. Well it was true. He did become an ass after he believed in his powers. But he wasn't being an ass to her now was he? Uriel gave her a shrug when she gave her that unimpressed look. Didn't make her much less cuter anyways. "I guess I've been an ass, but I'm an ass within reasons. Like now, I'm not being all pissy at you now am I? I became an ass sure, but I'm trying to help you so you'd get confidence in your powers and not end up like me...cause y'know, I'm a hot mess. And I don't want you to end up like that, and sure you might've heard stories of me dropping people's heart beats till they're neutralized . And those are true. And I'm trying to be concerned and teach you not to be like that. So give me a chance, please?"
Uriel never apologized. And I mean never. Yet now here he was, completely begging for someone to accept his help. If she was any other person he would've dropped it. But she wasn't. She was a girl in need of help. And he was more than willing to give that help to her if she asked. A sigh escaped his lips again before he spoke "You know, you've had a hard life. Your parents tried to exorcise you. But countless of people wanted to kidnap me for scientific purpose. But your parents are your parents so I won't judge you on that one....So what? You still want my help? Cause I'm always willing to lend you a hand, just ask." And once more, he fully smiled, showing her a look of affection.

"If the school doesn't know how to teach me to control my powers or use them for good, then how can you? Just because you've been there? Your powers are different. You haven't even seen what I can really do," she pointed out, but her voice had softened. He was trying to help, and he wasn't using any more cheesy lines. Maybe it was worth a shot.
She shook her head. "Judge my parents all you want. I hate them. They disowned me because they think I'm a devil's child. And maybe I am. I don't know." She shrugged helplessly. "Fine. You can help me."

"The school can very much teach you how to use your powers.." Uriel started, his voice dead serious, and the next part was said in a barely audible whisper "But they won't...cause they'd know that you're going to be too powerful." Uriel didn't even have any restrictions with that. He learned his powers by himself, and he was more powerful than ever. Of course it meant losing control, and not restraining yourself. He knew it would be dangerous, specially for him since no one stopped him. ut for her, he'd be there, to help her and support her. They just met but he felt a connection with her. As if he was meant to help her?
"You see, I learned by myself. I didn't rely on those petty Power teachers, cause they'd restrain my potential. And you...they didn't even want you to use your powers, quite unfair don't you think?" He turned to her and smiled again when she agreed for him to help her, he sarcastically tapped his left cheek and leaned over "Just a peck, please?" He smiled at her. Might as well get a peck if he's going to take this much of a risk.
"Anyways" Uriel proclaimed, cracking his head. "The first thing you need to know is not "Controlling" Your powers, if you want to control your powers, then you must first show it respect. See it as something living. Cause your powers are quite...chaotic if I say so myself. You need to release it from it's bonds and just go wild. ANd I'll be here to restrain you if I see it fit. And don't worry, we won't do it today...tonight maybe. At the theater. Channel your rage, how the humans saw you as something below an animal, they tried to use that silly cross on you." And of course, Uriel nodded and spoke "Before you freak out and call me a murderer, think about it....They shunned you away from society, show them how much they made a mistake."
