He laughed when Lidaya said that she didn't stop talking about him. It made him happy that she was talking about this to her friends. This means that she really thinks that hes good enough to be known by her friends.
Augustus just listened as they talked about people he didn't know. He didn't really mind though, he wanted Aela to be happy and enjoy herself tonight, and he didn't wanna be a clingy guy that she couldn't stand.
Even though he didn't know the guy they were talking about, he still felt bad that he was in a coma and didn't get the privilege of being here and having a good time. He remembered Silver and Bryon talking about him when they met but he still didn't know who he was.

"Anyway," Lidaya started as a slow song began to play. "I see Silver found out you two were here, since she's controlling the music." With a laugh she gave her a little wave. "I'll see you two later. And dance! Slow songs are always romantic." And with that, she took her leave and jumped up into the bars on the ceiling, mimicking the climbing abilities of a monkey.
Aela smiled and blushed as the slow song started to play. She seriously didn't know what to do. Should she ask him to dance? Or should she wait until he wanted to dance? Bah, Aela's mind was running to fast to know.

"Dancers often do get carried away," Keyla said with a bright grin. She loved dancing as well and knew how easy it was to lose herself. She'd never taken dancing classes before, but grew up dancing in the comfort of her own room or even in her backyard with her stereo basting music through the speakers. She was always told she was good at it, but Keyla considered it a hobby, a passion. It made her feel alive.
"Really?" She smiled lopsidedly at him. "Because I just transferred to Spiritus under a week ago. People are talking about me that much? Wow." She was sure he was just saying it to be nice and she didn't mind the gesture. "But thanks. A good attitude is important in surviving high school," she joked, feeling the music. It made her want to dance.

Byron laughed at her statement and nodded slightly. "Yeah, kinda got carried away earlier too. Challenged a dancer from Spiritus and some other chick." He chuckled lightly and looked at her outfit. It seemed to suit her, since she looked like a fun person to be around. "The name's Byron," he finally greeted holding out a black hand for her to shake.
"Yeah, mostly it's from Spiritus though. You hear a lot of stuff from them it seems." Byron decided to change the subject, so he looked around to find something to talk about. Finally, he knew. "Do you like our school? Is it bigger or smaller compared to Spiritus?" he asked her.
ooc: She IS from Spiritus ... right??

ooc: Yes, she is. "Think I got here a little late. I missed that," Keyla said, but she'd wished she'd seen it. Dance-offs were as fun to watch as they were to take part in and Keyla had been in several. Dancing got her blood pumping, made her feel alive more than anything, just like the plants she brought to life. "Keyla," she said with a nod, taking his hand and shaking it quite vigorously with a grin. "Yeah, Spiritus has a smaller amount of students. I guess word travels fast." She shrugged and then considered his question. "Uhm, I'm not really sure yet. I mean, I'm at Spiritus just because it's where I was sent. The rules are a little strict and I wish there were more students, but I don't think the size is that different. Do you like it here?"

"Eh, it's school," Byron replied, "nothing really new besides the whole powers deal." He was telling the truth. Basically, Veritas was like any other school, only people had powers and could use them for good or for pranks. Like when Byron decides to turn into a cute puppy to make a little girl feel better. Ah, always made him feel good.
"Well it's nice to meet you, Keyla," Byron greeted back as he shook her hand. "First person I met here who isn't nervous to meet a new person. Let alone someone like me." He then made a pose and smirked wide. "Just to good looking I guess.
ooc: XD Byron ...

"School is school," Keyla agreed with a nod and laugh. "I guess even if you have powers. But I guess the powers thing makes it a lot more fun." Although some people's powers freaked her out a little bit, but then again, she couldn't help but be curious about those people. She was curious about everybody actually, especially when it came to powers. She was wondering what Byron's was, observing him and trying to figure it out.
"Well, when you're new...you've got to try and put yourself out there. Figured the snow ball was the place to do that." She shrugged. "And besides, who says you need a partner to dance?" She smiled and it turned into a smirk at his comment about himself.

The ball had already started and Skylar was still barely finished getting ready. She was curling her hair, applying a light layer of makeup, and just trying to make herself look perfect. Skye would decide she didn't like her eye makeup and redo it completely, and then decide she didn't like the dress she chose and then had to find shoes that went with another. But what rush was she in? It was going on until midnight, and it was only 6:45.
Tanner hadn't even arrived at her door yet, so she was alright. By the time she found a dress that was acceptable to wear, she had just slipping on the matching gold heels when she heard a knock at her door. Taking one last look at herself in the mirror, she took long strides to reach the door, and when she opened up the door, she grinned. "It was about time your hot British ass got here." Even with her heels she had to look up at him, and that was the way she liked it.
"Ready to cause some hell, babe? Cause I sure as hell am." She flattened her skirt, enjoying the feeling of the gold fabric. It was a shorter dress, but just long enough to cover her mid thigh. It was a magnet for either gender, which was exactly how she liked it. Girls were interesting to flirt with, paying attention to everything you said while still paying attention to her body. But men were equally fun to flirt with, because she could tease the hell out of them and get away with it. She loved being Bisexual. No limitations, more fun.

"quite" He laughed "how do you know each other?" He looked at Silver briefly then turned back to Ziio. A few more people came into the room and as they were still standing reasonably close to the door Adam was getting nudged and bumped into as they past. "do you want to grab a drink then sit down somewhere, preferably away from the speakers" He smiled and gestured towards the drinks table. He had run out of his drink and needed to top up as well. He could see the other side of the room and decided it was best to go on the opposite side. So Adam looked for a table at the same time as walking to the drinks stand.

Tanner sighed when Skylar opened the door, pretending to be exasperated. "No, it's about time you're ready. I showed up late because I knew you would change your mind about your hair and your dress and your shoes at least once. See how well I know you?" He smirked, slightly amused at how well he knew her.
He was dressed in a simple black overcoat with a white button up underneath. A deep crimson red tie was also a part of his ensemble, complete with dress shoes. His dark hair was as neat as it was going to get.
"Cause some hell?" he questioned. "What exactly do you have in mind?" Skylar's personality was interesting. She was arrogant, but in a joking matter. Besides, she was fun to be around and spontaneous a lot of the time. He took in her appearance and smiled. "I didn't even know what tie to wear so I could match it to your dress, so I brought extras." He pulled several ties out of his pocket. "Let's see...ah, yes, gold." He grabbed the gold tie. "Wanna help with this?"

Eloise smiled as she walked with Adaryn toward the auditorium. She could tell the girl was nervous, which El still didn't understand. Eloise exuded confidence, however, and hoped that it rubbed off on Adaryn at least the tiniest bit before she realized Monroe was going to be there. The music got louder and louder as she and Ad approached the room. And once they were close enough, Eloise realized that Monroe was already there waiting for him.
"Look who it is! The man of the hour!" Eloise joked, glad to see Monroe cleaned himself up. He was still a little offended about the boots comment, so Eloise decided not to bring it up. Instead she just smiled, knowingly. "I can't believe I got both of you to agree to come along. Who is the master manipulator? I am." she said a little egotistically, mostly to herself, and not in a rude or obnoxious way. She was simply very excited for the two of them.

Gabe had the widest smile on his face when he entered the dance with Mikayla on his arm. He had cleaned up extra nice - getting a haircut which would probably grow out pretty quickly, but made him look extra dapper. His glasses were pink to match the dress of what he considered to be the perfect date. And his bowtie was only slightly crooked. It had taken him quite some time to consider himself 'presentable' despite the fact that his date couldn't even see him.
But now that he was here, he was elated. The music was blaring, and the decorations were amazing - though he barely noticed because his eyes rarely left Mikayla who looked absolutely stunning in her dress. "It should be a crime to look that good," he had told her, not being able to say it super seriously in his nervousness. But she always understood that Gabe was just slightly awkward. Now they were finishing up dinner, and the music that was playing was becoming too contagious for Gabe to bear. He turned to Mikayla, "When you're done eating, we should dance!" he suggested. "I mean... I'm not much of a dancer but it looks like everybody's having a really good time..." he didn't want to sound too eager, but he really was just that.

Skylar
"Of course you were late for that reason. Because you knew that I was totally going to change more than once. What if I told you that this was the first dress I put on, hm?" Skylar obviously knew that she had changed at least three times until she found the perfect dress, but she wanted to push his buttons.
She looked him over, glad to see he dressed nicely for the occasion. Not that she ever thought that Tanner would look anything but good, but she still had this feeling that he would dress poorly just to get her back for cheating in the pool last sunday, and then change in the bathroom. Though when she got to his tie, she frowned slightly. It was red, she was wearing gold.
"Oh you know, spiking the punch bowl with some vodka and pour water into the fake snowflakes that they use for the couple photos. Bad ass things like that." Skylar watched as Tanner announced he had a whole rainbow of tie colors, and she sighed in relief. "Good thing, too. I thought I was going to have to spray paint it gold." She grinned and helped him loosen his tie, pulling the knot down slowly. "And can I ask why you have to be so damn tall? I am wearing four inch heels and you are still taller than me!" She exclaimed allowing him to knot his own tie. He was a big boy after all.
She linked her arm with his. "Okay, now that we match, shall we make the rest of the students envious of our beauty and epicness?" She didn't wait for an answer. "Okay, thought so." And they were off.
Adaryn
Walking through the crowd of people on their way to the ball was nerve racking. She was hoping she wouldn't run into someone with some sort of negative emotion, and even though she hadn't, Adaryn was still on edge. Everybody was excited, happy, and at peace. But all that Adaryn ever knew was that moments like that never lasted. Something always came along to crush the excitement and happiness. Always.
As they got closer and closer, the music became louder, and she didn't recognize the songs. They sounded upbeat, and she swallowed nervously. It didn't help that when she got to the doors, she saw Monroe standing there waiting. Her face went instantly red as she turned to look at Eloise. "I thought you said... That was why you wanted me to come..." It wasn't that she didn't want to see Monroe. It was just that she wasn't expecting him to be there, and it seemed like Eloise did. She set this up... She turned to face Monroe, a nervous smile on her face. "Hey..." She said.

She was told the dress she wore looked great on her. It felt great and from the description the shopkeeper had told her, it was a nice shade of pink that looked great with her hair colour. Mikayla had no way of telling what she looked like, but she trusted the people around her to not let her go to a ball with an actual date looking mediocre. Her roommates had helped her curl her hair and apply her makeup, and she had fixed a pink flower into her hair that she hoped Gabe would like. She was glad to find out he did, and laughed at his compliment of her. He was being really sweet, and she could not ask for a better date. She doubted that was even possible. Gabe was pretty much as perfect as it got. She did not normally like using that word, since she considered perfection to be impossible, but she couldn't help it this time.
She did not really have a favourite colour, since she could not see anymore, but she knew the glasses Gabe wore were pink, so this way they would match. If he wore those glasses, anyway. She knew he had to because of his power, but she doubted he only had one pair. She hoped that later they could go for a walk alone so he could take a break from the sunglasses. She was so glad his power did not work on her. She knew it must put him at ease around her.
She was sure that he looked amazing, and it was a shame that she could not see him. She was envious of everyone who could, but she was glad to know that she was the one on his arm when they arrived, and that she would be the one dancing with him later.
The food was delicious, but she found herself getting full before her plate was empty. Not wanting to feel bloated, she was grateful when Gabe mentioned dancing. "I'm not much of a dancer either," she told him, lifting her glass of water to her lips. She knew there was punch available, but preferred regular water. She took a sip to wash down her dinner, then said, "But I'd still love to dance. We can both be terrible dancers together. I'm sure you aren't that bad, though," she added, standing up and smoothing down her dress. Her worst fear when wearing dresses was that they might ride up and she wouldn't be able to tell because she couldn't see, and so she always doublechecked. She didn't want to embarrass herself on a night like this one. "At least I have the excuse of not being able to see," she teased, holding out her arm to him so he could guide her onto the dance floor.

Gabe smiled, standing up and practically rushing to Mikayla's side to take her hand in his. "Well I don't have an excuse. I may have rhythm but I have two left feet," Gabe warned. He tried, but his dancing usually came out as a goofy swaying. Luckily his charm made up for that when trying to impress a girl. But he didn't even need to worry about that tonight, because he already had the perfect one.
He led her out to the dance floor, and realized it may be weird for them to dance because she couldn't see anybody around her, including Gabe. But he decided this would just have to be fixed by not letting his hands leave hers, or during slow songs a little closer. "Have I told you that you look beautiful tonight?" Gabe asked with a smile, even tough he had already told her about ten thousand time. "Tonight, and every night?" he added.
