"Then this would be a bit awkward," Tanner said, gesturing to his array of ties. "But since I know that you do not decide on something to wear that easily, I don't have to worry about it." He flashed her one of his crooked Tanner smiles and accepted her help with the tie before finishing the knot off himself and adjusting it just right.
"Bad-ass cliche things. Someone's probably already doing that," he commented as he linked arms with her. "And it's one of the oh so many things you love about me. My freakish height and my accent."
He grinned at what the said next, although he did have to admit that they looked good next to to each other. Light hair and dark hair. Gold and black. They complemented each other and with that, he set down the hallway with her, dark motives resting in the back of his mind, waiting to be awakened.

Monroe finally spotted the two of them and it wasn't long before Eloise was stroking her ego and going on about how she got the both of them there. Adaryn looked out of place, like she was feeling as if she shouldn't be there and she didn't want to be. Monroe knew the feeling. "Man of the hour?" he asked Eloise, raising an eyebrow. "More like man of everyone's dreams. Haven't you heard?" He grinned at his own stupid joke. He blamed it on sleep deprivation. And then he turned to Adaryn who had mumbled a hello and he took in her dress. "Wow, Ad," he said. He didn't tell her she looked amazing, or beautiful or much else, but his tone and the wow implied it all. "Did Eloise have to force you into that dress?"

Rafi entered the extravagantly decorated ballroom with his hands in the pockets of his neatly pressed black pants. His hair was fixed extra nice, and a bow tie this year, since he wanted to mix things up a bit. It was a subtle touch that brought a bit of charm to Rafael's look.
This wasn't the first time that Rafi had gone to the ball alone, but it was the first time he didn't have specific plans to meet somebody there. In actuality, most of Rafael's friends had already graduated. And the few he had in his own grade were preoccupied with their own dates. Rafael took this as a sign that he needed to meet some new people. And he hoped the dance would have plenty of personalities to choose from.

Ziio nodded and followed him to a reasonable table and sat down. "I used to know her when I lived close to Fredericton." she replied to him smiling softly. "We met at a movie, though she did most of the talking." Back then, she was able to speak words and talk without sign language or a power. She missed those days, but she didn't at the same time.
"Does the music bother you?" Ziio asked tilting her head lightly. She guessed it was because he was basically part cat now, but he could have always had sensitive ears like some people she used to know. Then again, the music was blaring a bit to loud, even for her tastes.

The moment he reached the two other people, he pouted and crossed his arms. He overheard them. Calling his way extra complicated. You know, if you want to come out on top, don't do it plainly. Do it with style. Cause they won't remember who won, they'd remember how the person won. But they had a point. It was all to plain, though. So Uriel spoke. "Overcomplicating? Yes. But think of it as this. Dropping a vial into a punch bowl is so oh so plain. People would assume that it's a student and that shit. But when you try to do it the spy way, we'd be totally out of their suspects. But it's up to you."
Uriel stared at the punch bowl and made a few calculations. If someone were to put the vial there, few people would see. And he wanted to do this with less people pacified. However, if someone were to find out, they'd have no choice.

Byron smiled when he made her smirk. How he loved to act like a goof in front of girls, especially one as enthusiastic as she was. He un-posed himself and let out a laugh. "Just kidding, well about the good looks anyway." Byron crosses his arms and leaned against the wall, wondering what her power was for the moment. Right now he was judging on how she dressed, but he could be oh so wrong, so he decided to ask instead.
"Speaking of school and powers," Byron began, "what's yours? You tell me yours and I'll tell you miiine." He said that with a cooed tone in his voice, not to mock but to just be playful, like he always was. People liked him for that, well most people anyway.

"Still, why don't you just do something to get it done, rather than making a big show out of it?" Gavin asked Uriel. Seriously, even he wasn't that egotistical. "You make it more complicated and more things are likely to go wrong. This isn't a spy mission, Mikhail. This is a school dance. Calm your shit." He rolled his eyes and turned to Aura who had grabbed the vial from Uriel. "Fight over you? An amusing idea, although I think Uri's already got two women fighting over him." Although the idea of fist fighting Uriel was definitely something that made him smirk. "You heard the woman, Mikhail. That's provide a distraction."

Keyla raised an eyebrow at him before laughing as he leaned up against the wall, as if he was trying to be suave in the way he posed. It amused her and a small smile played about her lips as he did so, beginning to ask her questions about her power. "Chlorokinesis, although that's just a fancier way of saying that I can manipulate plants. Make things grow bigger. Make flowers bloom, make the world a more beautiful place. My mom used to call me mother nature," she rambled. "What about you?" He wasn't egotistical, she got that much out of it. He was playful, a jokester. It was endearing.

"That's a pretty power," Byron complimented with a smirk. "I've always liked plants, especially cacti. They don't die easily." He gave her a sheepish smirk, indicating that he wasn't very good at taking care of plants. When she asked him what her power was, he smirked wider and shrugged. "Canine shape-shifting," Byron replied, "it's not as cool as your power though. I mean really. You can make deadly thorn vines that can beat the living spirit out of someone, and all I have is a variety of dogs to turn into." He didn't mind his power, but the least it could allow him was to turn into a demonic hound or something awesome like that.

Augustus smiled as he heard a slow song come one. It would be the first dance of the night with Aela. He was so excited but he was worried at the same time. He had only slow danced once, and the dance went terribly. He ended up tripping on the girls toes and running into a few people. That was when he was a freshman. Ever since then he had refused to dance, but since Aela said she wanted to dance to slower songs he decided to try to get over the fear and dance with here. "Would you like to dance Aela?" He asked.

Aela let out a soft blush as she nodded. Though she had no idea where to go or what to do, so she just waited for him to guide her to the dance floor. She bet that the place wasn't as crowded now that people were dancing to their certain someone or a friend, but Aela didn't really want to ruin someone's moment by accidentally running into the two or something as equally embarrassing.
Fang sighed and tugged on the leash, wanting to guide her to the dance floor so that Aela didn't look like she was standing there for no good reason. 'Come on,' he said to her, 'this way. I see a free space.'

Augustus smiled and grabbed Aela's hand and started to lead her to the dance floor. He saw that Fang was showing Aela where an empty space was so he walked her over there. After that he didn't really know what to do. He hadn't danced in almost to years. He decided that Aela probably knew so he just kind of stood there awkwardly. "We're here." He said. He felt so stupid that he didn't even know how to start dancing. He knew that most people knew at least where to start, everyone but him.

The first thing that popped into Aela's mind for what to do was to wrap her arms around his neck. She decided it was a better start than anything really. Her arms loosely crawled around his neck, not really sure what to do next.
Fang just sat and watched, mentally laughing because of how slow they were going in starting to dance. He decided he would help Augustus a bit, so he walked up behind him and nudged him closer to Aela, making sure that he wrapped his arms around her waist. 'There,' he said, 'now you guys look less stupid and actually look like you know what you're doing.'
Aela sighed at Fang and smiled softly. "Fang thinks we look really stupid," she told him laughing lightly.
'Wouldn't lie to yah,' Fang retorted as he laid down.

Augustus was happy that Fang had helped him out. He could tell that Aela didn't have much experience either. That made him relax a little because that meant that Aela wouldn't care if he was terrible at this.
Finally, they could dance. Augustus didn't really know what to do, so he looked over at other people, and thought it looked like they were just swaying to the beat, so he tried to mimic them. At first it was going good, but then he lost the beat at accidentally stepped on Aela's toes. "I am sorry! I didn't mean to step on your feet!" He apologized

Everything was going fine. They swayed to the beat and Aela was actually enjoying herself up until he stepped right on her foot. "Ouch!" she squeaked, rather cutely really, "it's fine." Aela let out a laugh and put her head on his chest. "I think maybe you should watch the floor ... in case I put my foot in front of yours and we end up tripping." That wasn't really the worst case scenario. The worst case scenario was that they trip and end up making everyone else topple over like dominoes. Though Aela didn't say that, for she was afraid that he might worry him or something.
Fang shook his head and hit it under his paws, not wanting to watch how badly they'll screw up.

Skylar
"Hey! Then we better get our ass over there so we can do it first!" Skylar looked up at him, her voice dead serious. She had no doubt in her mind that someone was going to spike the punch, and she actually wanted to hurry up to watch it happen. Then maybe actually get a couple cups and get drunk. How fun!
She laughed "And I don't love you. You are annoyingly tall and have a ridiculous accent that can't seem to get out of my head just like that Friday song I heard a girl singing earlier today." Skylar scoffed, but it was obvious that she was joking by the way she was smiling up at him. Tanner was awesome, her partner in crime, and actually gave her a challenge in the pool. Sure, he would stop time and sneak his way into her room quite often, but one day she would use her power against him to stop that.
They were off to the dance, and she leaned into her friend. Let the party start! Adaryn
She couldn't believe Eloise tricked her into this. She already knew this was her plan all along because of the great amount of happiness and excitement radiating off of her. Was she trying to get them together? But... Oh she should have known. She turned back to Monroe when he started speaking to her. At first, she thought he liked what she wore, his tone was amazed. That definitely felt nice... Adaryn went to go say thank you, but he continued. Her heart fell. Was he trying to say that he didn't like it? That she looked bad in it? But.... "Oh, uhm, Eloise bought me this dress secretly and convinced me to come..." But now she wished she could run back into the room and strip the dress off. "I'm guessing she convinced you to come?"
She unlinked her arm from Eloise's and wrapped it around her midsection self consciously. Maybe this really wasn't a good idea after all.

He laughed. It was funny how bad they were. It was like they both had two left feet. "I don't think we are very good at this." He said
" I don't think tripping is the worst thing that can happen to us." He said while laughing.
Finally, the slow song ended.
"Looks like we made it out alive!" He joked.
"Anyway, what would you like to do now? Do you want to stay out here and dance, or do you want to go back and just hang out?" He asked
