"Oh," Tanner said, his face still contorting in disgust at the liquid in his cup. "Normally I don't mind a twinge of alcohol, but this stuff tastes absolutely awful." His English accent was very evident in a lot of his words. He dumped the cup into the garbage. "And I wouldn't doubt that. Teenagers with powers? Someone's bound to have a power that allows them to sneak alcohol into the punch." He could definitely agree with the Darik guy on that. He guessed that you really had to get to the punch early before it was spiked, but he'd been too caught up with Skylar who had disappeared into the crowd minutes ago. Now he was making somewhat awkward conversation with two people at the punch table.
When he observed the girl closer, he realized she seemed to be regarding him with a strange look, but tried to pay no mind to it. Instead, he made a joking comment. "What?" he asked. "Is it my accent or something?"
--------------------
"I'm not bored of you, no way," Dakota said, shaking his head furiously. He assumed his reactions were exaggerated because he was tipsy. "And good, because well, I don't want you to leave." It was nice having someone to talk to, somebody new. Even though the alcohol made him feel a bit more confident, his nervous thoughts were still getting through to his brain. He wanted to ask the guy to dance, he wanted to find out if he was gay, he wanted to....he just wanted to know things in general. Dakota was tired of being confused.
He looked out at the dance floor. "Have you...uh, been out there yet?" he asked.
-------------
Monroe was still fighting his way through the crowd, through the bodies jumping around and grinding against each other to a loud, bass thumping song. Where was Eloise anyway? Was she specifically trying to stay out of dodge because he and Adaryn had been frustrated with her or what? And if she was in this crowd of people, how on earth was he supposed to find her. Eventually he got sick of being around so many people and moved back towards the edge of the auditorium, searching the people who were socializing for her white dress and blonde hair.
----------------
"You're lucky I'm not easily offended, because that was rude," Everett pointed out to Marley as they exited the dance floor and she marched over to the edge of the auditorium where tables were set up. She right away went for shoes, strappy heels of all sorts of colors that girls had taken off. He assumed those won't be the most comfortable, but they wasted money buying them to only wear them for a few minutes. How pointless when you could spend that money on comic books.
"We're stealing shoes?" he asked, confused as he stepped forward to where she was and grabbed a few heels, holding them by their straps as well. What was she planning with shoes? Whatever it was, it piped his interest.
---------------
"I think a lot of people would like to know what I can do," Gavin said to her in response. "Unfortunately not many are blessed with finding out." As she ran her hands along his biceps, he was smirking. Of course she would be attracted to him, but really what was the sudden change? Had she just been admiring him from across the pool at swim meets or something? She was trying to seduce him obviously and he hated to admit that it was working. He was usually the seducer. Things didn't go this way, but her confidence was kind of hot.

The longer Aura watched, the angrier she got. What the hell was wrong with Skylar? She didn't usually act like this, but here she was, all over Gavin, whom Aura had obviously been all over before! And since when did it become right for teammates to steal another teammate's guy interest, anyway? It wasn't like Skylar had shown any interest in Gavin before. Did she suddenly think it was okay to show some just because Aura was? The thought made Aura livid. And here she had though Skylar would be pissed that Aura was fraternising with the enemy or something, but obviously she had been wrong.
She reached out and grabbed Skylar's shoulder, her nails digging warningly into her teammate's shoulder. "I don't know if you noticed, but Gavin and I were dancing before you so rudely interrupted," she said through gritted teeth. She looked dangerous; her hair practically crackled with electricity and her eyes darkened to a shiny black as she allowed her anger to succumb to her powers.

"No, no," Eloise stuttered a bit, snapping out of her odd trance where she tried to determine why she couldn't read this boy. She couldn't even find his name. 'It's just... there's something odd about you," she said. "And not your accent," she added with a laugh. Sure, there were only so many guys with noticeable accents at the schools, but apparently she attracted them because she was standing with two of them. "And I'm not sure if you'd want to talk to me once I told you what it was," she said to Tanner. A lot of people didn't talk to her once she figured out she was a mind reader. And in this case it would probably be Darik who got freaked out and left the conversation, afraid of his inner demons (whatever they were) being revealed. Apparently, Tanner didn't have to worry about that. ---------- Marley rolled her eyes at Everett. "Do you think I care when I offend people?" Marley asked him as she grabbed more shoes, as many as she possibly could. It helped that she could used her power to make them all stick together as if they were magnetized to each other. "And we're not really STEALING THEM. We're just making it hard for girls to get their million dollar heels back," Marley informed Everett. She turned on her heels and headed out of the auditorium once she was satisfied with the number of shoes she had collected.
She knew that Everett would be following her as she made her way through the halls of Veritas. Of course, Ev would have no clue as to where they were going but it didn't matter. She led him to the side of the school with the girls dorms, and went to her room. She pulled her key from the side of her bra where she had been keeping it and ushered Everett inside. She threw open her window on the other end of the room, and stepped out of it onto the roof. "Are you coming?" she asked looking behind her. ------ "I have not," Rafi said honestly. He was not one to jump into a crowd of rowdy people and dance with a stranger. He was much to gentlemanly to steal somebody's date from them, or to butt into a group of friends who were already having a great time without him there. So up to this point he had stayed on the outskirts of the room making small talk as he had been doing with Dakota.
"I assume you haven't either," Rafi said, being able to read the tone in Dakota's voice. "Is it something you want to do?" he asked with a questioning glance to the dance floor. He didn't want to flat out ask Dakota to dance. Some guys became really uncomfortable in situations where things seemed 'slightly homosexual', even if Rafi didn't mean it that way. Rafi usually assumed the guys he talked to were straight, and did his best not to make anyone uncomfortable, and this included Dakota - even though Raphael barely knew him.

Skylar
When Aura grabbed her shoulder, she winced. It was clear from the stinging sensation that her team mate was livid. Skye turned slowly, her eyes flashing the minute they locked on Aura, causing the demonic powers to subside. Luckily Aura's powers weren't exactly in full effect, so it didn't seem like such a major change. "Well then, I did come here to talk to you, but your friend over here," She paused, "Distracted me." At least Skylar was telling the truth.
The only problem was that now Aura seemed to want nothing to do with her, which was completely understandable, considering she had the impression that one of her best friends was trying to steal her 'guy' right in front of her. " I have to talk to you in private..." Skye turned to look at Gavin, and tried her best to smile. "But before you reject," She added, her voice lowering so the peeping tom behind them wouldn't hear "You won't have to worry about me stealing your boy toy." Taking a step back, feeling that it would be in her best interest to do so, she crossed her arms across her chest "Do we have a deal, gorgeous?" Oh please, just agree. Skye pleaded mentally. It would be so much easier if she did.
Cain
It was obvious that Adaryn was hearing his minions in her mind, and it actually drove her out of the auditorium. The most pleasing part about this was the fact that she thought she was being a hero, that Elijah wouldn't do this to other children. Oh but he would, and he would probably get them out of the way much quicker now that he knows of the complications that could arise. But he made no move to follow her, or even retrieve his son, because he hadn't gotten word that she was where she was supposed to be--In the Veritas Indoor Pool.
So for now he just waited, keeping an eye on the other two trouble children as well as his son. It was a very tiring task.

Aura glared at her teammate when she was pulled aside. She was ready to let her powers go all out, but she was still a loyal person. She was loyal to Gavin, who helped her embrace her powers, and she was loyal to her swim team. She wouldn't hurt either. Not badly, anyway, and definitely not on purpose. She was glad to hear Skylar wasn't planning on 'stealing' Gavin, but still. "Well you have a poor way of showing it," she hissed, her eyes still narrowed but her stance slightly more relaxed.
"What the hell is going on, Skylar?" she asked. The song playing changed to an upbeat one, and the crowd around them moved enthusiastically. Someone bumped into Aura and she turned around, shoving them hard so they fell. As they cursed her, she turned her back on them and back to Skylar. "Whatever. Just stop touching him. And if you're lying, I'll rip your head off."

Skylar
Honestly, Skylar was a bit shocked at the way Aura was behaving. Sure, she was part demon and what not, but she had never acted this way. While she watched the person fall to the floor, her eyes widened. "Aura, calm down. That person didn't deserve to be shoved!" Sure, skye was cocky, had the ego as high as the roof, but she wouldn't intentionally hurt someone. Not like that. "Come on, I'm not trying to steal him." She finally allowed a shiver to run down her back at the thought of it. "And believe me, I'm not willingly touching that--" Skye cut herself off right there. It wouldn't be wise to insult Gavin right now, not when Aura was this pissed off. "Look, he is my brother." She practically choked on the words, not used to speaking about her family to anyone.
Now, Aura probably was either confused or disgusted with her, or maybe both, so she started to elaborate. "We were separated at 10. Well, actually he willingly left me. Anyway, I'm getting him back all those years he tortured me and then tossed me aside after he was through with me." Obviously, that wasn't how it ended, but that is how she felt it did. "Anyway, It is literally making me nauseous to touch him and smile at him and giggle like I am some sort of slut who is trying to get in his pants right in front of my best friend. I'm trying to get him to pay. And let's face it, if you don't get mad and act like everything is cool, he will only want you more. He is enjoying your jealousy, I can tell. He has always been like that." Skye took a deep breath, crossing her arms. "You understand now?"

Aura gaped at Skylar. Was she serious? She steeled herself, fists clenched at her side when she said as in control as she could, "He. Bumped. Into. Me." She used to do her best to maintain a bit of her old self whenever she was around her swim mates, but she no longer bothered. It was a lot easier and a lot more fun to just be Aura: demonic bitch. And Aura: demonic bitch didn't appreciate it when someone bumped into her, and didn't care to shove them in front of a teammate who did not approve of the violent retaliation. Honestly, the person who bumped into her was lucky she didn't unleash her truly angry side.
As Skylar began to explain exactly what she was doing, Aura stared at her. When she finally finished explaining, she felt relieved. "Ew," she commented, wrinkling her nose at the thought of getting that friendly with a sibling just for revenge. She wasn't sure how she felt about it from Gavin's point of view, either. He would not react well. She pursed her lips together, feeling torn. Would Gavin be pissed at her if he found out she knew and didn't tell him? Would Skylar be pissed if she brushed past her and told Gavin what was going on? The answer to both questions was an undoubtable yes.
"Sorry? I didn't hear you over the music!" Aura said loudly, shaking her head and gesturing over at the big speakers around the auditorium. "Hey, let's just go back to Gavin before he gets bored of waiting," she said, carrying on with the pretense of not knowing. She decidedly did not want to be stuck in the middle of a sibling rivalry. All that mattered was there was no way Skylar was going to go after Gavin, so even if he was momentarily interested, Aura could relax.

"well now we are friends i hope i give you some good luck" He laughed then paused as he heard something in the hallway. Adam crept to the door and opened it slightly to see if anyone was there. He new they would be fine here but he was being curious to who else was wondering around the school. "i wonder who's there" Adam couldn't see anyone, not a single person or animal "I must be hearing things" He closed the door and smiled "over sensitive hearing, might have been down a corridor further down the school" he smiled

Darik let off a small smile and nodded. "Darik," he greeted back as he shifted from on leg to the other. He was getting nervous again ... though it was natural for him. "So ... did you come here with anyone?" he asked her as he put his hands in his black jeans. His attire was simple, but still formal enough for the dance. Truthfully, he wasn't even there to impress anyone. He was there because Silver half-literally dragged his rear end inside of the auditorium. It was for the best, he thought. Maybe he can over-come his sense of nervousness around new people? He didn't know. -- Ziio nodded. "Yeah, it was further down," she said to him softly. "It was near one of the classrooms, I'm guessing anyway." That was one of the many perks about having psychic dialogue as a power, she can also track and locate anyone within five yards. The people Adam had heard were down another corridor, but that corridor was close. Not close enough for them to get caught though. "Is super hearing one of the many perks you get for shifting into cats?" Ziio finally asked after a bit of silence. It was still silent when she spoke, but she didn't really notice it much anymore.
