"Weird, right?" Ella asked somewhat softly. "It's really... peculiar. Not just that we both have these marks but that they're opposites." She gazed in Monroe's direction somewhat thoughtfully. "I honestly wish I could find anything to go off of, but there are only so many people with powers running blogs on the web, and very few of them have radioactive birthmarks," Ella said reverting to her sassiness.
"Not to sound creepy," she continued, "But after tonight I just feel like there is some sort of connection between us or between our powers maybe. I mean it would make sense right! Maybe these marks have something to do with our powers. God knows what. And we both have powers of the mind... maybe something wacky happens when two people like us are together. And maybe that's why I could hear you in my head tonight?" she said all of this in a very unsure manner. She really had no idea, and she was purely going off a hunch. She wished she had some solid proof that it all meant SOMETHING. Ella liked things to have a reason.

"Maybe," Monroe mused when she'd finished speaking. "I mean, you read conscious thoughts....I deal with the unconscious, but I still don't understand why I have to have some weird marking on my skin. But...why else would I have a moon and you'd have a sun? It just makes sense that they're related to our powers." Although he'd never known anybody else with a marking like that. Ever. And they were too eerily similar in how they looked and the location, but what did it mean? "And I don't think this is something Google can help you with, El."
Was it why she could hear him in her head? But it didn't make sense.

Ella laughed. "I know... but it's the only thing I could think to do." She told Monroe with a sigh. "Dad used to joke that I'm 'marked for greatness'" she said with a laugh. "You know... like Harry Potter or something. Like it meant I was supposed to be something amazing. He forgot I could read his mind and I knew he didn't really know what he was talking about." She shrugged.
"But who knows," she curled her legs into her chest. "I was just kind of hoping you might know but obviously... no" she was a little disappointed.
