"I can control certain technologies and understand their construction really easily" He smiled "It's hard to concentrate when there is a lot of tech in a room, and i can feel everything that goes on inside them but i'm really close to sorting that out. I can hardly feel them now" Tim was really feeling the heat now "sorry one second" Tim lifter his T-shirt up and put his hand on his heating device Tons of calculations were now whizzing through his head until the heat went down to a comfortable temperature. "I can't always control tech from a distance i sometimes have to focus contact through a single point on my body like my hand. It only happens with very complex pieces of tech" Tim felt much cooler and worked on clearing his mind once more "i'm so sorry, i forgot" he winced "at least now you know what goes through my head when i'm in contact with tech"

Eloise winced as the calculations soared through Tim's head. It was a little bit excessive, but he quickly tried to clear his mind again. "Yeah that was a little intense," Eloise admitted. She rubbed her temples briefly and sighed, just hoping a headache wouldn't be the result of such a random blast of information. "It must be kind of cool though, being able to control something in that way. Clearly you can use the power to your benefit."
She then turned to Talon, who though quiet was proving to have an interesting mind. She hated feeling like she was prying, but she was to tired to put the block up, and Talon's thoughts were interestingly contradictory. She couldn't help but chuckle at the music comment, but it was his view on his smoking that she found interesting. He was disgusted by himself, yet he continued... she found it odd. And because of this she couldn't help continuously giving Talon questioning glances. She finally decided she may as well say something, "If you hate them so much why do you keep smoking them?" she asked seemingly out of the blue.

Talon looked up and stared at the cloud that was blocking out the sun. He had to squint as the sky was still pretty bright, and after a while he began to see spots. He blinked several times and watched the colour of everything invert for a split-second before his vision adjusted and the white spots slowly began to fade. When Tim lifted his shirt to fiddle with some technology thing Talon didn't care to try to understand, he stared at that next and thought that if Tim wasn't so weird, he might find him attractive. Actually, he knew Tim was already attractive, but he just left it at that. He doubted the guy was into other guys. Shame.
He noticed that Eloise kept looking at him, but he ignored her, trying to make rings out of the smoke as Tim blabbered on about something he was sorry for. Yawn.
"Huh?" he said, finally looking at the girl. "I never said... I never said I hated them," he told her with a frown. Was he really that readable? He pulled his hood up over his head again, as if that would hide his expression. "I've always smoked. It's not like I can smoke. Besides, it relaxes me," he told her with a careless shrug. He hoped she was not about to berate him. He would not stand to be nagged about his bad habit. He knew it was bad, so couldn't people just leave him be?

"yeah most of the time he smiled, it does help when most things today are quite technological" He smiled looking at Eloise making eye contact finding his heartbeat suddenly change rapidly 'ahh crap' he thought and was just hoping Eloise didn't read his mind at that point. James cleared his mind again and tried to focus on the present. He looked at Talon as Eloise spoke to him The wind blew the smoke of the cigarette into Tim's face, but he did not react. His farther had smoked for years and Tim had grown accustom to it. "cigars smell better" Tim blurted out "my dad smokes"

"You never said it, you thought it, and I just thought it was weird that you think they're disgusting and continue to smoke. Most people love it... it was just interesting," Eloise explained to Talon, still focused on Talon's thoughts when Tim slipped an thought about his accelerating heartbeat. Ella didn't even notice. "I didn't mean to seem prying," she added. She thought smoking was disgusting, but she wasn't about to judge anybody for doing it. Talon, or Tim's dad, or anyone else for that matter.
"So how long before I actually start to like it here?" she asked both boys with a sigh. She hadn't been their long, but she missed home. And she didn't like the fairly consistent headache she'd developed. Her dad told her that she would end up loving it and they were going to help her far more than he could, but she still had her doubts. She still wanted to be home in the quiet country side and away from all the thoughts.

"Wait," Talon said, holding up his hand with the cigarette. "You read thoughts? That's your power?" He stared at her in disbelief and then horror. "Get out of my head!" he exclaimed. "I don't care if you were prying or not, my thoughts are my thoughts. If you can't help reading them, at least have the courtesy to not comment on them. That's how you knew all that stuff about me," he realised, the pieces finally clicking. He took an apprehensive step back as if the distance might keep her out of his mind, his cigarette finding its way back between his lips as he took another drag.
He had had this problem with another girl, who had manipulated his emotions. Couldn't people just stay out of his head already? First his therapist tries to get him to reveal his inner thoughts and emotions, then some girl actually manipulates his emotions, and now this one is reading his thoughts? Talon never took his eyes off of the girl. He wondered how Tim was okay with all this.

'really he only just got that' Tim sighed "she has more courtesy than you, at least El would probably thank someone for fixing her ipod instead of plugging it straight into her ears" Tim raised his eyebrows at talon "but i guess music would help you when it comes to blocking people out" Tim turned to Eloise 'wait that's it, i could put it in a small in ear capsule so that the scrambler will have direct acess to block brainwaves. Bingo' Tim smiled He had been trying to think of a way to conceal a device or at least make it easy to carry

Eloise was slightly hurt by the way Talon reacted, even though she didn't really expect differently. A lot of people reacted that way, but she didn't ever get used to the disgust that laced people's voices. She didn't say anything in reply. She never knew what to say when somebody insulted her like that, acted like she should try harder to control everything when it wasn't an option. She stared blankly at Talon as he freaked out at her, before finally looking away and toward Tim, even more uncomfortable with Talon.
She was glad Tim stood up for her though, and gave him a slight smile. "You know... I don't understand half of the things you're saying let alone the things you're thinking," she said to him as he commented on some sort of scrambler? She wasn't sure.

"I did thank you," Talon argued, although admittedly he had no idea if he had thanked the guy or not. Knowing Talon, he most likely hadn't. Oh well. He shot a glare at Tim in response to his next comment. Yes, music was great at blocking people out. But he didn't say anything aloud. He did not want to acknowledge Tim's comment at all. It was too close to analyzing Talon's personality, and he hated when people did that. His therapist did that every session. It drove him nuts.
He grew further irritated when Eloise didn't say anything to him in response. The fact that she was outright ignoring him was infuriating. Oh, but I bet she's holed up somewhere inside of my head, he thought. GTFO bitch. He glared now at her.

"Not a lot of people do" Tim laughed It was true it was only a select few engineers and scientists that could completely follow what went on in Tim's mind and Veritas had already set up meetings with them so Tim could help further technological development. At first they had thought it was a joke but after Tim showed off his tech they wouldn't leave him alone for two hours "I suppose it gives me some piece of mind that if you have a confused face on you then I know you've been reading my thoughts" Tim laughed warmly at Eloise

Eloise barely heard what Tim was saying. It was as if his actual words were being blocked out by Talons thoughts. He was literally screaming at her with his mind. She winced a bit, trying to ignore it, but failing as his thoughts dug deeper and deeper into her.
Finally, what seemed like out of the blue she snapped. "You don't have to be such a dick, you know that?" she said turning to Talon and taking a step closer to him. "You know I don't ENJOY what I have. And I honestly couldn't give less of a crap about what goes on in your mind. And I'm sorry if I hit a sore spot with you. I shouldn't have done that. My curiosity got the better of me. You can be mad but you have no right to call me a bitch in your head knowing I'll hear it. Man up and say it to my face, asshole. " Eloise stood tall, feet planted in one spot. When she got fired up, there was no stopping her from telling people how it is. Her face was slightly flush with anger and if her bright green eyes were any angrier they would probably be able to pierce right through Talon.

Talon literally winced when Eloise began to snap at him. He tensed as she continued to shout at him and faced her head on, mimicking her stance except that he still slouched, his hands shoved in the pockets of his sweater. Looking her in the eye was difficult; she was scary when she got angry. His eyes widened slightly as he realised she might have heard him think that, and he fiercened his own glare to make up for it.
"Fine. Bitch, stay out of my head," he said sharply, then turned and walked away. He'd get someone else to fix his iPod. He did not want to deal with people today, especially ones who could read his private thoughts that even he didn't like hearing, and ones that teased him with the idea of fixing his beloved iPod. He glanced over his shoulder and shot them both a departing glare. No matter how attractive they both were.

Tim watched Eloise stand up to Talon. Tim smiled he was impressed someone who could tell someone straight to their face what they thought of them/ what problem they had with them and keep their ground. Tim's face stiffened when Talon retaliated 'what an arse' He chuckled as Talon walked away "What right does he think he has to be on such a high horse" he looked at Eloise "I have to say freshman i'm impressed" he smiled at Eloise 'she is definitely....' "wait sorry, might as well say it, Your definitely one for recommendation. I could use a strong willed person like you with me when I get to go on a mission" He laughed "As a third years we get told we can recommend pupils who show potential, not many students listen to this they are more concerned about on missions themselves, but I listened"
(OOC:hope thats ok court i can delete that last bit if it's being a bit plot controlling)

Eloise smiled slightly, but Tim's compliments didn't make her feel any better about the way Talon had talked to her and thought about her. Sure, in the grand spectrum of things Talon didn't matter in the least. But it still reminded Eloise of everybody else who would hate her for her power. "Thanks," she said to Tim with a sigh. "I kind of just snapped with anger though... nothing to be proud of," she continued, watching Talon walk away. "My whole life I've had to deal with people who think just like him. That think I'm in their head on purpose and hate me for it. I still haven't gotten used to it." She shrugged and stuffed her hands in her pockets.

"Well thats what I can help with" He smiled at Eloise "do you have a music player on you at all" Tim asked Eloise still smiling "oh and headphones" He added "i think i will be able to make a music track that will block it from happening until i make you the actual thought blocker itself" Tim closed his eyes and concentrated on noise frequencies, ones which could disrupt brainwave activity just enough to stop Eloise from hearing thoughts. "sorry if this is a bit intense but if this works you won't have to put up with my tech specs for much longer" He laughed
