"Ah, are you one of those typical guys that just wants x-ray vision?" Keyla asked and pretended to be offended by making a face, scrunching up her nose as if she was disgusted. Then she burst into laughter and listened to his question. "No...well, not really." The smirk was still there. "Just don't make me angry or you'll find out." She winked. This guy was awfully entertaining. He loved to joke and just talk about everything and nothing at the same time, but yet she wondered what was underneath that exterior. "Promise I'm not completely evil." She was about to speak again when there was a crash and some guy in the middle of the dance floor had began to attack random people, lashing out. It was an elder blonde boy. Her eyes widened. "What is happening over there?"

Byron looked over, instantly recognizing the blonde one. "What has Uriel gotten himself in now?" he asked himself as he smirked at Keyla. "Wanna go watch? Uriel can make quite the show before the teachers catch him." He knew it wasn't right to just watch a fight, but when Uriel fought it was just ... interesting. Kinda like when Silver decides to get a little angry. And speaking of which ...
"Oh my god there's a fight all ready!" Silver squeaked as she ran beside Byron. "And Uriel's involved! What could be better eh?" Silver looked over seeing a new girl she had never met before in her life, and gave her a friendly smirk. "Sup amico!" she said to the girl.

"Uriel? You know him?" Keyla asked Byron. He looked lethal, even from this distance. And why was he doing what he was? Did he have a reason to? What was his power? At this point, her mother would have told her to slow down on the questions and then ruffle her hair and call her Nancy Drew, but she couldn't but help wonder so many things. Another blonde was screaming at him and people were staring.
Before she could respond to him, another red head came up beside him, freaking out about the fight. She gave her a bright smile. "Who is this Uriel guy?" They both seemed to know about him.

"Uri?" Silver said turning her body to face the new girl. "He's in grade twelve here in Veritas. Tough bugger he is, and also challenge addicted." Silver let out a sigh as she looked back at the fight. "Five bucks says Uriel breaks a bone in the guy."
"I bet two," Byron challenged with a smirk. "I know him because Silvy here knows him." he replied to her coolly. "He doesn't pay much attention to me though. Maybe make eye contact or bring up a small conversation, but that's really it."
"He doesn't talk with you because you didn't fight him near Cranbrook lake." Silver added smirking some. "He's quite the opponent, I'll admit that." She looked at the unknown girl for a moment. "Say, I haven't met you before. What's your name?"

Keyla looked between Byron and the other girl as they talked about this Uriel character. And then she was gazing out at the madness. "It looks like he's acting more than one person..." she said, squinting. They'd have to get closer. She wasn't one to condone violence, but really she just wanted to know what the big deal was about this guy. They were acting as if he was some high and mighty guy, as if the rest of them were side kicks and he was a super hero. More like a super villain, she thought, but she knew there was more to him than that. People weren't good or bad, black or white. They were many shades.
She looked thoughtful as she observed and then finally tuned back into the conversation to look over at the other redhead. Byron had called her Silvy, but she assumed that was a nickname. "I just started at Spiritus a week ago," she told her, her mind still on what was happening. The guy trying to stop Uriel looked angry as well. What were they the guys in charge or something?

"You're allowed to have your opinions," Marley stated with a shrug. She didn't particularly feel any different in the dress though. And Everett saying she looked nice didn't necessarily change her mind about it. She didn't hate the dress. But she didn't like it either. She didn't like what it meant or why she felt she needed it. She didn't like what it represented. "I won't hurt you...this time... I already did enough of that I suppose." she half smiled at the burn mark on his wrist.
"I'm kinda sorry about that... hope it doesn't scar," she said half heartedly. A sick part of her still felt that it was an appropriate reaction to what he did. She just realized it was a 'sick' part of her and she should probably apologize.
"And why would I have heard of you? hm?" Rafi asked with a slight chuckle. "Are you some sort of famous here?" he offered. "Or perhaps infamous?" he joked, not realizing if anything that's what Dakota was. Rafael in fact hadn't heard of Dakota, which may be surprising to some.
"You know... I see this topic makes you uneasy," Rafi suggested due to the way Dakota trailed off. "We don't have to talk about it." He smiled his naturally sweet smile.
Eloise turned away from Monroe as he chased after Adaryn, and walked into the dance feeling pretty bad about what had just happened. Despite her blunt nature, the way her friends reacted to it could really effect El's mood. She didn't really lock eyes with anybody as she walked around observing, concentrating just enough on keeping her mental block up so the thoughts of the tons of people in the auditorium wouldn't drown out the music being played.
She sat herself down at a table, not really in the mood to dance after the way Adaryn ran off.

"As are you, hence why I say nothing about your rude comments about my hair," Everett said with a shrug, although he did know that it stood on end. It was the electricity thing. It was especially bad right now. This place was electrically charged if anything. "Yeah, I had to go buy some aloe vera, but whatever. My roommates kept asking me what happened. I made up some elaborate story about trying to cook in class. You know if you look at it a certain way, it kind of looks like an elephant." He looked down at the burn on his wrist, studying it before grinning and looking back up at Marley. "It's nice you're kind of sorry, but I kind of deserved it. And you could have done a lot worse things, like let me explode. So, forget about it." Everett didn't like to dwell on things anyway.
"I got you here, didn't I?"
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dakota laughed. "Well, I wouldn't say I'm famous. I'd say I'm well-known for being the loser of a guy who was the reason his roommate tried to kill himself," he said with a sigh, wondering why he was going on about this to someone who was practically a stranger. A cute stranger, but still. "That and I sort of started a tree on fire on campus, but that's another story." He smiled sheepishly and rubbed the back of his neck. "I just assumed you'd heard. I mean, everyone on campus seems to know about what happened." Why did he bring up such a negative topic? He wanted to mentally kick himself.

"Oh you are Talon's roommate?" Rafael asked suddenly realizing perhaps he did have a connection to this boy. "I mean... I don't mean to say I have heard of anything that happened between the two of you. My friend has just come to know Talon..." he trailed off, thinking about Jade for a moment and hoping her night was going well. He hoped she wasn't getting into too much trouble. "However I have heard about the burning trees," he added with a chuckle. "What grade are you? I haven't seen you around much," Rafi asked with narrowed eyes, trying to get off the topics that seemed to make Dakota increasingly uncomfortable. -------------------------------- Marley couldn't help but laugh a little when Everett suggested his burn was shaped like an elephant. He was being a really good sport about it, and he even admitted that he kind of deserved it. Her smiled faded when he brought back up the fact that he got her to the dance.
"Yeah you got me here by threatening to take away what I love most," Marley explained rolling her eyes. "I mean if I were you I'd find that kind of a hallow victory." She rolled her eyes a little. She wasn't sure what Everett expected from her now that she was here, or how long he expected her to stay. She wasn't even sure why being there bothered her so damn much. It just did. The music was loud and obnoxious and really really bad. It smelled like excessive sweat and perfume. And some of the lighting could be described as seizure inducing. It definitely wasn't an environment Marley would consider comfortable - and this was coming from a girl who spent two nights in an empty cargo train car with individuals who had knives and no problem killing.

"Oh, you are Talon's roommate." The minute Dakota heard him say that, he cringed internally. He had heard about it. And then he'd corrected himself and Dakota nodded in response. A friend of his knew Talon. He wondered who, of course him and Talon didn't have any incredibly deep or insightful conversations anymore. It was mostly small talk, but at least Talon didn't hate him. But Dakota still felt guilty, despite how much he'd try to let it go. "Yeah, fire manipulation...I'm not so good at the manipulating part." He laughed somewhat nervously and then was grateful that he'd changed the subject to something else.
"Tenth," he replied. "You?"
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Everett was glad he could make her laugh. He was easy going and that's what made it so easy to just let it go. He was good at it. After all, he had to be if he didn't want the energy to build up. He only felt anger very briefly. It was just how things were. "Okay, so you make a point," he said. "I took desperate measures...and I literally got burned, but just so you know, I probably wouldn't have done it. I mean, maybe I would have, but it would have been on accident. I had way too much electricity being conducted in that moment." That burn would be a reminder of it. Oh well. "The black suits you by the way." He liked how it poofed out at the bottom. It was....elegant. Yet Marley showed she didn't give a fuck by doing nothing with her hair. Everett didn't care, because his hair didn't want to be tamed.

The distraction worked. Partially. He turned to the five men approaching him, lifting a leg up as he stared at them. He wasn't listening to Gavin, but he kept on talking. Rolling his eyes, Uriel finally had enough of them telling him what to do. NO ONE, and I mean NO ONE could contain the demon inside Uriel. he lifted the sleeves off his suit, making a throwing motion as his SOG knife went flying, heading towards Gavin. But it missed, a few centimeters. Impaling itself on the wall. And Uriel shot him a look. A Look saying "Next time, it'll be aimed at your crotch." Maybe that would send his message. Uriel punched towards his left, his wrist slamming on a random guy's neck as he stumbled. backwards. Uriel jumped up, a Capoeira kick slammed at the other guy's peck, back flipping, he landed behind the other guy, and launched two fingers up the back of his neck. But it didn't have any dangerous notion, just a small touch. But it was a Death Touch Uriel derived. The Seven Death Adder bite. It wasn't extremely fatal. Depending on how used. And on what part used.
it usually works that if he touches your neck, Uriel triggers a pressure point that causes death after the victim's seventh step. Causing the neck muscle to tighten and explode. But this technique only caused one thing, the opponent to get knocked out for a long time. Uriel slipped passed the one who he tapped and stared at the other guys. Jumping on his foot, he closed his eyes. And he felt the snake— his favorite fighting style. take over. With a slick of his hand, he made a small claw with his hand, striking to his left with precision. But only with his index and his middle finger, the touch was heavy, but not enough to disable an opponent.. Or is it? Like a slick snake, Uriel striked at his every opponent's pressure point, but it was as if he was just touching them. Uriel never moved from his position, only his hands. Whenever men tried to punch him, Uriel touched their chests, neck, shoulders and twisted. And they started to miss. Uriel kept jabbing his finger every where, but they didn't seem hurt. At the last indiidual, Uriel shoved his finger on his stomach. And he stumbled, unaffected. A smile crept on Uriel's lip as he placed his hands together, in a triangle. And he counted.
One...
two....
three....
At the third count, Uriel opened his eyes and made fists with his hands placing them together and bowing his head. And with that. the men looked puzzled. They were about to charge at Uriel, but at their first step, they all stopped, knocked out cold as about dozens of Veritas and Spiritus students fell, asleep. On the floor, it was as if they were hit by a baseball bat as they just laid out cold. Uriel crossed his arm and walked away. One of his little techniques. The One Step Sleep. You basically assume the position of a snake, and like a snake, you don't move. you strike at your adversaries, one by one. Your venom is strong but it takes time to effect. Your bite is worthless, but once they get touched by your fangs, the first step they take, they fall down. Either dead or asleep. That's how Uriel derived the technique. Striking fatal point at people's body, blocking the passage of oxygen. And when they take their first step they are knocked out cold. Or they die. Uriel walked, grabbing the Sog knife and sheathing it. he stalked towards Gavin, and stared at him.
"In case I didn't make myself clear enough...you don't tell me what to do. Or i'll skin your balls off." Uriel turned around, and visibly screamed, pointing at Aura. "Nor do you, Satan's wife!"

"Twelfth" Rafael responded simply before taking another long drink of his punch. "So this is my last ball..." he said still trying to let it sink in. "I am sad to see it all going by, you know?" he said, in a somewhat nostalgic manner as he thought about his past years at Veritas. "Though I cannot wait to go back home to mi familia," he smiled thinking about it. He felt as if it had been forever since he had truely spent time with his mother and sister.
"Ah you are del fuego," Rafael said. "That is a very impressive power even if you have yet to master it." Rafael said. "I am sure in time it will be come natural to you," he insisted in a comforting manner. ------------------------------------------------------------- Marley looked down at her dress and sighed. "Honestly if it were any other color I probably wouldn't have bought it and just punched the sales lady in the face instead. She reached down and messed with some of the ruffles, and made a face that said 'I'm not impressed'. She reached up to mess up her bangs some more to cover her eye, even though she was pretty sure nobody would see the scar in this lighting anyway. She wanted to be sure.
"So what am I supposed to be doing here again?" she asked curiously, seeing as he wanted her there so badly. For the "experience". What the hell was the experience?

"Oh wow, have you been here since grade nine?" Dakota asked. He listened to him talk about being sad that it was almost over and smiled at the random bits of Spanish he included while he spoke. "Yeah, I miss my family too," he said, which he did, even his annoying thirteen year old sister.
"Ah, uhm, si? Del fuego?" He laughed a little. "I took Spanish, but...I wasn't very good at it." He shrugged. Academics weren't really his thing. Sports used to be...and then he stopped playing them. "Maybe...I hope to get better at it. I mean, I'm not starting random fires a lot anymore." Well, that was the perfect thing to say. Would scare any guy off. He mentally face palmed. "So you've been here for a while...do the powers classes help?" What was his power anyway?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Well, I'm sure she appreciated not being punched in the face," Everett told her with a smile. "And you're here to have an experience, remember?" He reminded her. She was hear to experience the random antics of angsty high school students. What else? "Just look around." His eyes darted around the auditorium, seeing people dancing and then a fight seemingly breaking out. "See? Drama? Some guy has already went insane. Kids with powers in a place like this? Endless entertainment. And then you can make fun of the crappy pop music and how often One Direction is played. I usually keep a tally of things like that. For you, you can start a 'times I wanted to kill Everett' tally and I think we're at about four, wouldn't you say? Higher or lower?" He smirked. He could take stabs at himself. That was the one thing about him that Marley seemed to like.

Gavin was annoyed by Uriel. He had a tendency to overdo everything, to beat the shit out of it, to make everything incredibly complicated and as much as he absolutely loathed him for it and thought was a complete moron for doing it, he had to admit it was kind of impressive. Kind of. He took a step closer to the other blonde when he threw a knife in Gavin's direction. It never hit him and he didn't expect it to. He turned to see it had gotten stuck in the wall behind him. And then he got locked in a death glare with Uriel for a moment, before he went on a tirade, knocking out many students within reach of him. They all fell to the ground, dresses of all different colors flopping to the floor and guys in tuxes keeling over. It was sort of amusing, so much that Gavin had to suppress laughter, but he still knew it was unnecessary. His father taught him to be clean with his work, to not be entirely reckless and Uriel was on the total opposite end of the spectrum.
"Are you done?" he asked, blinking at Uriel, before nonchalantly walking over to the wall and pulling the knife out of it. "Because you knocking out half of the dance's population doesn't affect me. But you just ruined a lot of little teenagers' nights, Mikhail. They're the ones disappointed."
He looked over at Aura, through the crowd of people that were surrounding the ones who had fallen over, knocked out cold thanks to Uriel, to see if she'd finished what she was doing. Uriel had expanded his distraction into a bloodbath....without the blood.

Oceaniana thought that she recognized the jock. He was one of the Veritas guys who had scored a point in the last match, but he was also one nasty person. When she looked at the person being pushed around she knew who it was instantly now she was closer to him. It was John Middleton, the Spiritus with the ability to transform into a wildcat. Ocean had possessed him once, with his blessing, when they were on a mission. She turned to Sapphire, her ocean blue eyes alight with anger. “He is so stupid!” She snapped, deciding that if the jock was the type to bully people then she might as well talk her mind about him. She stopped pacing towards the jock because they was already close enough to the scene. She did not mind about getting caught using her powers on another student and breaking rules. She had been caught before and her godfathers bank account had sorted the issue out. “He is so afraid of looking like he doesn't have control that he has to he a jerk and doesn't notice everything he does is idiotic! I'm sure the weak boy, John, could rip the jock apart in a second if he wanted too. That’s the nature of his power! You can’t fight nature! If nature says something can kill you, then it can and there is nothing you can do to fight that! Dickhead-jock guy is lucky that John is meek in human nature, or dickhead-jock would have been devoured by now!”
Ocean turned her attention back to the jock, and she was visibly shaking with anger. John Middleton was a really nice guy. He was a push over, that was for sure, but when Ocean had spent the time to get to know him, he was the sweetest, kindness and most caring person anyone would ever meet. And John had had it rough in his life. His mom had beaten him, and it made Oceaniana sick that people thought they could just trample all over him. They couldn't, not under Ocean's watch.
A storm was brewing. She clenched and unclenched her fists. "I would ask you whether you suggest that he wets himself, or has a rather violent attack of diarrhea?" She told Sapphire, her eyes never leaving the jock. She could hear laughter all around them as the jock tried to quickly pull his trousers back up, a mortified look on his face. The smile that had previously been on Ocean's face was now gone, and it was clouded with anger. "But I think he deserves a much more sever punishment. What power do you possess Sapphire? I am thinking of teaching this guy a lesson in manners. They cost nothing."
Just then the jock guys attention hit John Middleton. Ocean could see the look in his eyes that said he was going to make John the laughing stock to take the stares off himself. "Oh, don't you bloody dare."

Sapphire
Sapphire gave her a wicked smirk and created a gun that wasn't really deadly, but it shot invisible beams of lightning that made the person that was shot at do crazy shit at the touch of a button. "Psychic Constructs," she replied grinning wide, "comes in handy when you get into a fight with guns." Sapphire aimed the small gun at the jock's chest and shot the silent pistol. All the jock could feel was a little prick, but what Sapphire could do to the man afterwards was what she desired. Heck, she could even make him make out with every girl here if she wanted to.
"I think diarrhea first, then severe punishment ..." Sapphire replied again as she pressed the button that came with the creation of her custom pistol. "This is the funnest pistol that I have ever learned to create." she told her as she made him punch himself in the nuts as the microscopic bolt on his chest jolted every time she pressed the button. "Ah, the wonders of the 21st century ..."
Byron
Byron crossed his arms and observed the ending of the fight. Every guy that attacked was knocked out cold. It was like dominoes, but instead of little prism chips there were men in every colored tux you could even think possible. He even saw one with a velvet purple tux on as he fell down. "Woah ... did you know Uriel could do that, Sylvia?" Byron asked Silver with a sort of surprised/amazed tone.
Silver shook her head. "I knew he was awesome in battle, but this is nuts." she said as she also watched the men fall down, out cold from his snake-like attack. "Jesus, and that's who Sapphire is dating? Kinda jealous now."
Byron shook his head and looked back at Keyla, who looked rather curious to him. "I wouldn't get closer if I were you," he said, in a more serious tone than a joking one. "If he was mad at those men, then there's no telling what he'd do to you if you started asking questions." He only said that to her because he didn't want her to get hurt, especially from someone who could get away with it most of the time. However, Byron didn't think there was any way he'd cover this up.
