Marley rolled her eyes, realizing he had taken on too much energy than he could handle, and the lights were still flickering. She ran over toward him, and grabbed his wrist before he could do any damage, and took his energy, this time releasing it as heat so it burned him a little. She figured it would be her first form of payback. She wasn't really sure how hot her hands would get either. But at the moment she didn't care. The room which was cold to begin with was suddenly filled with warmth as the lights slowly began to stop flickering. "You are a douchebag," she said seriously as she let go of his wrist with a slight toss as if she was disgusted. Since at the moment, she was.

Everett was about to climb through the boarded up area again to the outside when Marley moved quickly and grabbed his wrist, taking the energy from him for the second time that night. He needed to learn how to control this and learn how to release the electricity in a healthy way, without hurting someone or destroying something. It was so difficult. He couldn't believe that she was doing that and then he felt his arm burning and he nearly ripped his arm away, but at the same time she dropped it. "Shit, Marley!" He held his wrist, looking at the red irritated flesh.

"Now... if you would be so kind to fuck off," Marley said, deciding she had had enough of Everett. And the red ring around his wrist would be a reminder that he was an asshole. She felt a little bad as he inspected the irritated flesh. But only a little.
She turned back toward the table, only turning to look at him for one last second before sighing and saying "But I guess I'll see you at the dance." She sounded anything but thrilled.

"Fucking off..." Everett said, wincing at the pain of the burn. She definitely wasn't pleased with him and while he realized he was only trying to help her, he'd gone about it in the totally wrong way, a way that had ended up in him getting burned. Literally. Fighting fire with fire wasn't actually a good idea.
But he would be there. At that dance. He somehow had to make the red ring on his wrist worth it. He quietly left, putting his hood up as he did and shouldering his backpack of comic books on his way back to Spiritus.
